I finally took the time to play with my new Hero Arts stamps! This is a clear stamp set, which makes it so easy to work with since you don't need a stamp positioner!
This Hero Arts set is called Laughter & Merriment . There are 10 stamps in this set, so you have a lot of choices for both the inside AND the outside of your card! I like that! Choices are a good thing...right?
All images were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink, then embossed with JudiKins Clear Detail embossing powder. I used watercolor paper for the main images so I could move the color and shade with my Tombow markers.
I colored the tree with Tombow Markers and a Tombow blender pen, then added a little Stickles to embellish the star. The bird was paper pieced with scraps from the Basic Grey Dasher paper used in the background.
For the rug, I masked the trunk of the tree, then stamped my Long Skinny Oval by AMuse using ColorBox Cranberry ink.
I'm still playing with background colors, trying to decide if a light or colored background better showcases the card. So that's why you have two pictures of the same card in this post. Your opinion is welcome, and appreciated!
So that's it for tonight guys. I'll have something new for you tomorrow.
Thanks once again for stopping by.

I am almost thought you made two cards here! I like the first one better and the card is terrif!
I love this card...I have these stamps and haven't used them yet. I like the light background for this card. I think it makes it pop better.
They are both beautifully done, but I think the light coloured one stands out just a tich more. Love how the BG paper on the bird mimics the background paper direction. Also love the green ribbon...a subtle but elegant touch! TFS: Tinla
both cards are beautiful and I cannot decide which one I prefer - they're both so pretty! I do love that striped background paper that you chose. It's not what I'd reach for to make a holiday card, but you continue to show us how to step outside our comfort zone and take a chance. It works beautifully! nice work Michelle!
This card is beautiful. I love the patterned paper as well as the little birdie!
Wow! you have some awesome cards I love this one too:)
