May All Your Weeds...

The Hero Arts set I used for this card was SO much fun to play with! It's called Big and Small Flowers . First, I stamped the flower on Majestic Purple Prismatics cardstock, then cut it out. I stamped just the center again on Intense Kiwi Prismatics , cut it out and adhered it to the flower. The button is from my stash, and it's threaded with Purple Burlap String from May Arts.

The sentiment is from the JustRite Seeds of Kindness set. I cut and embossed it using Spellbinders Labels One Nestabilities .

The butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch. I added Mini Rhinestones to their bodies for a touch of bling. The Olive Ric Rac is May Arts, and it is bordered on both the top and bottom using the May Arts Purple Burlap String used for the button.

It's going to be a busy day at my house! I have one more card to make for next week, I've been trying to get my new Dell computer set up, and all the grands are on the way here to spend the day. Yikes!!!

Beginning tomorrow, we're having Impression Obsession week at Stamper's Dream, so the Dream Team will have LOTS of eye candy for you. I also have a big announcement to make on Monday morning...so stay tuned!

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar

I found this recipe on allrecipes.com a couple of weeks ago, and I've already made it twice! It's soooooooo good! And it's actually pretty low in calories, too! What a bonus THAT is!

The only change I made to the recipe is that I suggest using about half as much balsamic vinegar as it calls for. Other than that, I just followed the recipe.

So of course I had to make a recipe card for my Recipe Album . I printed it on white cardstock and left a space for my stamped image. The image is from the Cookbookin U R Cookin' clear stamp set.

I stamped the image once on a scrap of Classic Red Prismatics cardstock, then again on watercolor paper. I paper pieced the images, then colored the lids with a black Tombow Marker . The designer paper is from the My Mind's Eye Jack & Jill paper kit. The knife on the back is chipboard from the Maya Road What's Cookin' mini chipboard set. I sponged silver metallic ink on it, then covered the handle with designer paper.

This is what the recipe looks like cooking in the skillet. YUM!

And this is the recipe card in my Recipe Album sitting on my kitchen counter.

Be sure to let me know if you try the recipe, okay?

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you're having a terrific Thursday! If not, hang in there. It's almost Friday! :)

JustRite March Mega Blog Hop - Day One!

Welcome to Day One of the JustRite March Mega Blog Hop! The Dream Team from Stamper's Dream is excited to hop with the rest of the JustRite bloggers today!

For my card I chose the Lilly of the Valley image from the JustRite Breath of Spring stamp set. I used it with my Large Oval Wood Stamper and stamped on watercolor paper with Onyx Black Versafine ink. After embossing with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder the image was colored with Tombow Markers using a damp paint brush to blend.

The border was stamped with VersaMagic Pink Petunia . Both were cut using Spellbinders Ovals. The pink layer behind the main image was cut and embossed using the NEW Big Scalloped Ovals Nestabilities .

I added pink Mini Pearls to the flower oval as well as the butterfly. The ribbon is 1.5" Pink Crochet from May Arts. The buttons are from my stash, and were threaded with May Arts Burlap String . The designer paper is Memory Box Gossamer , and the card base is Herbal Garden Prismatics.

Now...about the prizes and what you must do to have a chance at winning:

27 designers, FIVE shopping sprees each day. No one knows where the prizes will be! Each day of the hop JustRite will have five Mystery Blog Candy Prizes hidden along the hop with a total retail value of $600. JustRite will randomly select five mystery blogs each day of the hop and randomly allocate each of the shopping sprees.

For your chance to win, simply leave a little love (a comment) on each designer’s blog including the JustRite blog. The more designers you leave comments with, the better your chances of winning. Each day’s comments will remain open for three days. A winner from each of the mystery blogs’ comments will be randomly chosen using Random.org. Consult the listing of designers at the JustRite blog each day (each day’s designers will be different) and start out on your way! Beginning Friday, March 26, summaries of all the winners will be posted on the JustRite blog . Good luck to everyone and enjoy all the JustRite eye candy along the hop!

Today during the JustRite Mega March Blog Hop (Day One) JustRite and its sponsors will be giving away the following five prizes:

· $200 JustRite Shopping Spree

· $100 Spellbinders Shopping Spree

· $100 Stampers Dream Shopping Spree, and

Easter Bunny Blessings

I guess I'm preparing for Easter. After all, it's only a couple of weeks away!

The stamp I used for this card is one of my all time favorite spring stamps from Northwoods Rubber Stamps. It's called Bunny With Tulips . I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The image was then colored using Tombow Markers blended with a damp paint brush.

I cut and embossed the image using Spellbinders Labels Twelve Nestabilities .

The sentiment is Northwoods Classic Easter Blessings . It was cut using Spellbinders Fancy Tags Shapeabilities . I cut one more "end" from the Fancy Tags and added it to each side. I am soooooo disappointed that the purple ribbon in this photo looks blue. And I have no idea why!

The designer paper is from the NEW Basic Grey Kioshi 6 x 6 paper pad. I added a small piece of May Arts Lavendar Reversible Satin Ribbon to the corner, then placed three Lilac Rhinestones to make a corner treatment.

The cardstock used is Majestic Purple Light and Herbal Garden Dark Prismatics.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I will be back Tuesday morning (if not before) for the JustRite March Mega Hop!

Until then...

Tweet Talk

Is there anyone who doesn't just LOVE Penny Black stamps? I mean, what's not to love? :)
I am especially fond of all their new stamps with the nostalgic children. This one is called Tweet Talk and it's from their new Slapstick Collection .

I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The image was then colored using Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush was used to blend. I added three tiny pink Mini Pearls for the buttons on her dress.

I distressed the edges and added a little Spun Sugar Distress Ink .

The punch used in the background is from Martha Stewart. The designer paper is from the My Mind's Eye Mary Mary Paper Kit . The cardstock is all from the Pink Prismatics paper trio. I made my flower using Spellbinders Dahlia Nestabilities . The three pearls in the center are Zva Creative Mini Pearls .

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you are having a terrific Thursday!

Onion Roasted Potatoes

I'm still working on filling my Recipe Album with some of my favorites. It's a work in progress, you know.

This Onion Roasted Potatoes recipe is a sure winner every time! It's SO easy to make, and the perfect side dish for so many main dishes! I typed the recipe in Microsoft Word using the CK Becky font which you can download FREE from Becky Higgins Blog .

The stamp I used is from the Cookbookin' stamp set called Cookin' Up Memories . The designer paper is from the My Mind's Eye Jack and Jill Paper Kit . The cardstock is Island Mist and Classic Red Prismatics .
What I love (more than these potatoes) is how adorable the recipe card looks in my Recipe Album sitting on my kitchen counter! :)

This is the recipe made using white potatoes, but you can also make it using sweet potatoes if you prefer. Doesn't this look yummy?

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I always love it when you do.

Bloom Where You Are Planted

Happy Monday! Are you all as excited about going back to work today as I am? LOL!
Today's card came together for me easily. Believe me when I tell you that doesn't happen often enough! The stamp I used is from the JustRite Stampers Breath of Spring stamp set. I used it with my Large Oval Wooden Block to stamp on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink. I then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder, then colored with Tombow Markers .

The image was cut and embossed using the new Spellbinders Labels Thirteen Nestabilities . I distressed the edges using Tim Holtz Distress Ink . In just a moment I will show you how I made the red border. Hang on.

The sentiment is from JustRite's Seeds of Kindness stamp set. All the designer paper used on this card is from the gorgeous new Lush Green paper kit from My Mind's Eye.

The cardstock is Classic Red and Spring Willow Prismatics .

I added a couple of The Robin's Nest dew drops to the top left corner, and two Mini Rhinestones , one on each side of the main image.

This photo is the back of the larger Labels Thirteen image with the red border. I cut pieces for both the top and the sides, usually using scraps from my cardstock stash. This shows the top and bottom. Scroll down...

This photo shows the image after I added the pieces to the sides. I hope that makes sense. If not, please don't hesitate to email me.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you all have a great Monday!

My Umbrella

I just can't seem to get enough of these adorable Pure Innocence stamps from My Favorite Things!
This one is called My Umbrella . The moment I saw her I just KNEW it was the perfect image for the My Mind's Eye Jack & Jill paper collection. So I paper pieced the umbrella, raincoat and boots. The red stripe paper layer was cut and embossed using my new Spellbinders Big Scalloped Ovals .

The scallop on the bottom of the card was made with Spellbinders Jumbo Scalloped Borderabilities . I added two Red Rhinestones to accent.

The Yellow Ruffle Edge Trim is from Maya Road. The cardstock is Classic Red and Kiwi Prismatics .

I hope you're having a glorious Sunday. The weather here is simply gorgeous! Did you set your clocks forward?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

The designer paper is from the My Mind's Eye Mary Mary paper kit. The pink layers are Prismatics Vibrant Pink . The card base is Spring Willow Prismatics .
