Simple Blessings...

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend. I had a really wonderful day yesterday playing with all the grands, so I've spent all day today trying to catch up on some things. It seems that I spent a LOT of time playing catch up! LOL!

Since I just got a shipment of the newly released Spellbinders dies in the store I couldn't wait to begin playing with them! So I decided to pair up thess Labels Five Nestabilities with the JustRite Autumn Blessings set. I simply LOVE the sentiment! Ever since I saw this card by my friend Becca Feeken I've been dying to get my hands on those new Nesties! As you can see, she inspired my card!

The designer paper is all from the Basic Grey Wisteria paper pad. The cardstock is Vanilla Cream Prismatics and Mystic Prismatics light and medium.

The pearls are Kaiser Craft Bliss Pearls . I accented them with a Copic C5 marker. The ink I used for the sentiment is Brilliance Pearlescent Ice Blue embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

A Great Gift that's JustRite

With so many grandkids, and so many school teachers, Sunday School teachers, and a host of other people they love to gift to, we always have to come up with something in a reasonable price range! And this project certainly fills the bill!

The image on the circle Nestabilities panel is from the JustRite Something Sweet set. I stamped it with Encore Blue ink, then embossed with Detail Clear embossing powder.

The designer paper is from the My Mind's Eye Colorful Christmas paper kit. The edge was cut with a Martha Stewart Loop Edge Punch . I added some Mini Rhinestones here and there for a little dazzle!

I made a tutorial on this candy bar box several months ago that was for a smaller candy bar. You can find it HERE . This King Size candy bar is a little larger than the one I used before, so you will have to adjust the length a tad.

Please be sure to see what projects Cammie , Amy , and Kimberly have for you today! They are guaranteed to be AWESOME!

Thanks for joining us for JustRite week! We've had a grand time sharing with you!

It's Day Four of Stamper's Dream JustRite Week!

Well I hope you've been following The Dream Team this week as they have made gorgeous projects with the new JustRite Christmas releases!

This card was *intended* to be one of those 10-minute cards everyone is talking about. Fat chance! It takes me longer than that to choose a stamp and paper before I even begin! LOL! But I will admit I spent much less time on it than MOST cards I make.

The stamp I used for the main image is from the new JustRite Christmas Joy Borders & Centers. As you can see, I didn't use the border so it doesn't look like an oval at all. I simply stamped then cut and embossed it, as well as the layers, with Spellbinders Labels Four Nestabilities .

The designer paper is from the Fancy Pants Happy Holidays paper pad. The cardstock is Candle Glow Prismatics medium, Sage Prismatics medium and Blush Red Dark Prismatics .

The Burgundy Velvet Ribbon is May Arts, and the pearls are by Kaiser Craft .

Be sure to see what the rest of the team has in store for you!

Today is Kimberly , Denise and Me.

Tomorrow is Cammie , Amy , Kimberly and Me.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I just love it when you do!

Merry Christmas To You!

Yes...I know it's a little early for Christmas. But it's definitely not to early to start your Christmas cards!

The stamp set I used for the sentiment on this card is the new JustRite A Merry Little Christmas Borders & Centers. There are ten borders and centers in that set...so many choices for such a reasonable price! I like that!

I stamped the image on Iced Teal Prismatics cardstock using Encore Teal ink. The circle layer behind it as well as the background layer for the card are from the Merry Days of Christmas paper kit by My Mind's Eye.

The medallion is Spellbinders Lattice Pendant cut in both Iced Teal Prismatics and Island Mist Prismatics dark.

The pearls are Kaiser Craft Bliss Pearls . The border on the bottom is Lattice Borderabilities by Spellbinders.

Some of the other Dream Team designers have some awesome projects for you today, and for the rest of this week! Please be sure to stop by their blogs to see what awesome projects they have in store for you!

Sweet Treats!

I can tell you now, this new Something Sweet set from JustRite is going to be one of my favorites this Christmas season!

I used it to make this Sweet Treats jar for the grands to give a favorite Sunday School teacher...or maybe the family next door! We have SO many gifts to prepare for them, and they always like to help with the making!

I found this jar at Wal Mart for $2 or $3. You can probably find one cheaper at a dollar store somewhere. The green hard candies inside the jar were $1 at Wal Mart, and there were enough to fill at least two jars! What a deal!

For the top of the candy jar I used the new Holiday Demi Phrases for the top of the sentiment, then used the 15 pt font that comes with my 2" Wood Stamper to write *From The Rodgers*.

The candies on the top were cut out from the Sweet Treats center, colored with Tombow Markers and adhered to the panel on the top. The white accents on the candies were made with a White Opaque Pen .

The rest of The Dream Team has projects for you all week! I hope you will check them out! Here is the schedule:

Tuesday: Laurie , Charmaine , Amy , and Me.

Wednesday: Laurie , Tosha , Kimberly and Me.

Thursday: Kimberly , Denise and Me.

Friday: Cammie , Amy , Kimberly and Me.

Thanks for stopping by....I will be back tomorrow. Until then...

It's JustRite Week at Stamper's Dream!

I hope you can join The Dream Team this week for JustRite week at Stamper's Dream. Each of the design team members are posting this week featuring the new Christmas Releases from JustRite and it's going to be a fun week indeed!

For this project I wrapped a box with scrapbook paper then used a stamp from the Christmas Joy stamp set to make the tag.

First I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then colored with Tombow Markers .

Using Diamond Glaze as an adhesive, I added some Krystallos Vintage Glass Glitter Shards under his feet to give the appearance of ice.

The tag was tied on the tag with May Arts Silver Metallic String .

Be sure to see what the rest of The Dream Team has in store for you this week! This is the schedule:

Tuesday: Laurie , Charmaine , Amy , and Me.

JustRite Anniversary Card!

Last week a good friend of mind approached me to ask if I would make a special card for her father's 30th anniversary. I tried to sell her on several ideas, but she had seen this card I made recently for a wedding, and nothing else would do. That's okay...personally, I DO SO love it that we can use JustRite stamps to customize and personalize cards so that the recipient knows it was made just for them. How special that is! And I would have done the same thing if it was my father. :-)

There are a lot of similarities in the two cards, but I did change a few things. The sentiment in the center is from JustRite's Wedding Ensemble . It was put in the middle of a 2" Wood Stamper and the 15 pt Font that comes with that set was used to create their names and 30th anniversary.

I used my Fleur De Lis Pendants to create the design on the outside with Suede Brown Prismatics dark cardstock. Each of the four corners was embellished with a square from the same die cut. I added Bliss Pearls which were the perfect compliment to the Baby Blue Prismatics and Suede Brown Prismatics cardstock.

For the inside I used a sentiment from my stash, and the Fleur De Lis Borderabilities .

Whew...was this a long post, or what?

Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate each and every one of you for taking the time out of your day!

Kilkenny Cross

I hope you all had a good weekend. I know I did! But gosh...was it short, or what?

I managed a tiny bit of stamping time today to make this cart. And oh my, was it a fun one to make! The stamp is Kilkenny Cross by Holly Berry House. One of the reasons I love this stamp so much is because it's so versatile. Depending on the colors and verse you choose to stamp on the inside, it could be great for a sympathy card, confirmation, thinking of you, or even Easter or Christmas!
I stamped it 3 times on Sage Green Prismatics light, and three times on cream paper, which is the reverse side of the MME French Flea Market designer paper I used for my background. The ink I used is Colorbox Evergreen pigment ink. I embossed with Detail Clear embossing powder. The cut out layers were adhered using foam tape for dimension.

I cut a panel with my Curved Rectangle Mega Nestabilities as a background for the cross. The edges were distressed using Ranger Antique Linen distress ink.

The pearls are actually Snow White pearls colored with a Copic C5 marker.

This last photo is just to show you the dimension. Lots of layers, huh?

Thanks so much for stopping by tonight. I always appreciate it when you do!
