Cherub Tree Trio

I had every intention of posting last night...really, I did! I was pretty exhausted so I decided to sit in my chair for a little 10 minute break. About 45 minutes later I woke up. I fell asleep SITTING STRAIGHT UP in my chair! So I guess I must have needed the nap, huh? LOL!

I am sooooo excited about all the new Stampendous stamps! I had a difficult time deciding which one to use first! But I decided on this sweet little stamp called Cherub Tree Trio . Aren't those cherubs just too, too sweet?

I stamped the image on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.

The stamped image was colored using Tombow (water based) markers and a blender pen. I DO love to color!

The sentiment is Such A Blessing also from Stampendous. I stamped it using VersaMark ink, then embossed with JudiKins Egyptian Gold embossing powder. It's a gorgeous shade of gold with glitter mixed in....and it sparkles beautifully!

In case you haven't noticed...we now have Neenah Cardstock in the store! Neenah is highly recommended for use with Copic markers. I have the Solar White in the 80 and 110 lb weights. And gosh....that 110 lb cardstock IS some heavy paper! Natural White is in stock in 80 lb weight.

Okay...that's it for me tonight! Thanks so much for stopping by.

I'm baaaacckkkkkkk!

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, but I've been SUPER busy with new things for the store! I received a LARGE shipment of cardstock from Prism Papers this week. Since they don't offer paper packets, I've been packaging ALL the paper and labeling it for days! But the good news is, that is some of the most gorgeous cardstock I've ever seen! The colors are fabulous, and I love the leathery texture. The other side is smooth, so you have a choice of which to use depending on your project.

I also received a pretty large shipment from Stampendous this week. Isn't this little Changito Hearth stamp simply adorable? There are other new Changito stamps in the store as well! Be sure to check out the new Changito Pirates clear stamp set! It's da bomb!
This stamp is just about my favorite from their new releases. It's called Manger Kisses . I think it's just about the sweetest thing ever! Honestly, what's not to love?
And for all you Fluffles fans, there are some great new ones out in this release! This one is called Fluffles Garland . There are also some really adorable Halloween Fluffles in the store as well!

I DO hope to squeeze in a card or two tomorrow! I'm having stamping withdrawal. My fingers haven't been inky in days now!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stop In For A Spell!

I am soooooo loving these new stamps from Northwoods! I don't typically make a lot of Halloween cards, but the images are just too cute not to color them!

The main image on this card is Northwoods Spooky Rooftops . I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.

To color the sky, I used Tombow (water based) markers. First, I used a clean damp paint brush to moisten my watercolor paper. I then scribbled color from my Tombow marker on a plastic palette, and picked up the color with my damp paintbrush applying to the dampened cardstock to make a wash. If you need more blending, remoisten your paint brush and go over the color until it's blended to suit you. It's as simple as that!

I saw a fabulous tutorial for watercolor backgrounds on Leslie Miller's blog today. Be sure to see it HERE . I am definitely going to try her technique myself!

The sentiment is Stop In For A Spell . I think it's just perfect for the main image. The bats are a from my stash of stamps. I believe it's from Printworks.

To complete the card, I added a little Stickles Glitter Glue to the moon and the bats. I thought it needed just a touch of sparkle. :-)

That's it for me tonight! I have a HUGE project that I just started working on, so my posts may be few and far between for the next few days! But I will be back as soon as I can.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Call me! Featured Stamper Challenge

When I can make the time I always enjoy the Featured Stamper challenge at SCS. This morning when I saw that today's Featured Stamper is my friend susiestampalot there was no doubt that I was going to play along! A HUGE congratulations to you Sus! What a fabulous and well deserved honor! I am sooooo excited for you!
Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net

My card is actually kind of a combination of two different ones Susie made using the MFT Call Me stamp set. You can see hers HERE , and HERE .

I used the same stamp set, but changed parts of the layout and the color combination.

The MFT Call Me main image was stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.

All designer paper is from the Inque Boutique Always In Bloom paper pad.

I paper pieced the chair, then used Tombow (water based) markers to color the rest of the card,

The flowers are Prima Sprites , and the center of the pink flower is a Robin's Nest Dew Drop adhered with a Mini Glue Dot .

I hope you are all having a great weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by!

If the Broom fits....

I knew it wouldn't be long before I inked this Northwoods Wispy Witch stamp. And as I suspected, it was soooooo much fun to color!

I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow (water based) markers.

The sentiment, also from Northwoods, is If The Broom Fits . I stamped it then layered with a lime green panel before adhering with Scotch Mounting Tape . I really like the dimension the mounting tape adds to a project.

To complete, I added a few Dew Drops to embellish.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you're having a great weekend!

I Don't Do Mornings!

Actually, I really DO do mornings! I am typically an early riser, eager to get my day started. But I have some friends who don't do mornings AT ALL! (You know who you are!) Hi

I had almost forgotten about this card I made several days ago. Frankly, I didn't like it and wasn't going to post it....but here it is anyway! That tends to happen when I haven't had much stamping time and I've been a bad blogger! LOL!

The images for this card are from Memory Box. The adorable little penguin is called Curler Penguin . Isn't she just too cute?

I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow (water based) markers.

All frames for the main image were cut and embossed using my square Nestabilities.

The I Don't Do Mornings sentiment was stamped on watercolor paper, then cut and embossed using Spellbinders Ribbon Tags.

The designer paper is Basic Grey's Two Scoops 6 x 6 paper pad.

Thsanks for stopping by tonight. I sincerely appreciate all your comments!

More new rubbah!

Okay...I admit it. I am a BAD blogger! It's been days since I've posted! And I don't even have a card for you! But I DO have new stamps!

For all you Northwoods lovers, there are some fabulous new stamps in the store!

The first one is my new personal favorite, and I can't wait to ink it up! It's Northwoods Wispy Witch . And there are a couple of great sentiments also listed that go with it. LOTS of possibilities, and it looks like so much fun to color!

This stamp is Northwoods Spooky Rooftops . And there are two great sentiments that go well with it. One is If The Boom Fits...Ride It , and the other is Stop In For A Spell . Cute...or what! ? !

This beautiful stamp is Northwoods Pot with Poinsettia and Pine . Ohhhhh....this one has GREAT potential for making some fabulous Christmas cards, doesn't it? It's such a beautiful image!

This stamp is such a classic....and a perfect representation for the true spirit of Christmas. It's Northwoods We Three Kings . You will find the coordinating Wisemen sentiment in the store as well.

There are other new stamps....but I wanted to highlight just a few of my personal favorites for you.

I DO hope to find a little stamping time soon! It helps me maintain my sanity. Know what I mean? So I hope to be back soon. ..with more sanity! LOL!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Just For You

I know... I haven't posted in days! It was just one of those weeks that I was super busy doing other things, and there was no stamping time. I just hate it when that happens, don't you?

My card this moring is a 10 minute card inspired by the Featured Stamper's Challenge on Splitcoast. Today's featured stamper is Stephanie.Hargis . Be sure to check out her awesome gallery.

Although there were MANY cards in her gallery that I wanted to CASE, since I was pressed for time this morning THIS CARD particularly appealed to me. I love the simplicity of the design and the clean lines.

I also loved the fact that I had a scrap of designer paper on my desk that would work for the design...so I went for it. (It had to be a sign!)

This card requires little explanation. I used a corner rounder for the edges of the front and back of the card. The sentiment is from the Impression Obsession Anytime Sentiments clear stamp set. The ribbon is May Arts 1" Fuchsia satin . I pierced the paper just beneath the sentiment.

I'm off to get some things done around here and work on orders for NEW THINGS for the store. I plan to work in a little stamping time this afternoon, so I will be back real soon with something new.

Thanks for stopping by!

New Rubbah....and Luigi!

FINALLY....the Impression Obsession stamps arrived tonight! I've been stalking my UPS guy for days in hopes that he was coming to deliver them! LOL!

The wood mounted cupcakes stamp is soooooo cute! It's appropriately called Cupcakes . I also have a number of cupcake sentiments in the store that go with this stamp. Then there is the Cupcakes Clear Stamp Set . It's smaller than the wood mounted, but oh so cute! I just happen to know that Laurie is posting a sample card made with this set later tonight, so be sure not to miss it!

The Smell The Coffee clear stamp set is back in stock. It sold out immediately the last time. And you just MUST see Amy's sample using this set HERE .

Since I was busy getting the new stamps in the store I didn't have any time for stamping, so I made this quick and simple card.

I have to tell you, I have always LOVED this stamp, and I can't explain why. It's just cute! He is named Luigi , and the stamp is from Rubber Soul. I continue to collect cooking and recipe related stamps...and this is one of them. I AM going to stamp a cookbook one of these days. I really am!

The sentiment is also from Rubber Soul, and is called What's Cookin? .

I have to apologize for the photos of this card. I don't know much about photography, but the problem must be something about the light reflecting off of the white card. I think? Should I use a different colored backdrop when I photograph white cards?

That's it for me tonight. I'm off to figure out what's for dinner.

Thanks for stopping by!

Violet Bouquet

It has been such a long time since I played along with the Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS. So today I decided to give it a whirl. The featured stamper is Teneale Williams. I had never been to Her Gallery before, and I found some AWESOME things in there.

The card I chose to CASE can be seen HERE . I changed the stamps, but kept the general layout and color scheme. Of course, since I don't have any SU! cardstock I had to improvise with the colors.

The stamps I used are Memory Box Tall Vase and Violet Vase . I stamped the vase first, then used my Stamp Positioner to get the flowers in the vase precisely where I wanted them.

The flowers and vase were colored using Tombow (water based) markers. I aged the edges of the flower panel using Ranger Vintage Photo ink. On the red panel I stamped the Violet flowers with VersaMark in to create the watermark effect. I used my Design Ruler by Tim Holtz to pierce the red panel as well as the lines above and below the flower panel.

The ribbon is May Arts Brown Satin , and the sentiment is from Hero Arts Anytime Messages clear design stamp set.

I hope you all had a fantastic holiday weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed mine, and AM NOT excited about going back to work tomorrow. Oh....what would it be like to be a lady of leisure? ??

Thanks for stopping by....have a great week!

You are the perfect fit...and such a lovely lady. I wish you a very happy birthday...and many, many more!

For the virtual birthday party I decided to bring a little refreshments. We can't have too many of those, now can we? SmileyCentral.com

All images on the card are from Impression Obsession's Margaritas clear stamp set. The tag for the sentiment is Spellbinders Double Ended Tags die cut set. I added a little Stickles glitter glue for the salt on the rim, and I coated the glass with JudiKins Diamond Glaze to make it appear more glass-like.

Cupcake Sprinkles

I made this card some time ago and forgot to post it. I have no idea how that happens! LOL!

All stamps used are from the Hero Arts Cupcakes Clear Design stamp set.

I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.

The top portion of the cupcake was stamped again on a scrap of watercolor paper, colored then cut out and popped up using Scotch Foam Tape .

I cut out the stamped candle, colored it using Tombow markers, then sandwiched it between the two layers of the cupcake top. I meant to add some Stickles for a bit of sparkle, but ended up photographing the card before I remembered. Duh! I think it's getting to be an old age thing with me! LOL!

The rectangles were cut out and embossed using my Spellbinders rectangle dies. The designer paper is Basic Grey cupcake.

I received a shipment of Hero Arts stamps today. There are a few new ones, and I restocked some of the favorites.

Thanks for stopping by tonight! I will be back with something new as soon as I can.

Until then........
