Dylan's Doodles

Last Christmas, Dylan (my 9 year old grandson) asked for note pads on his Christmas list. When I asked him what kind of note pads he wanted, he said, "Mimi, I just love to doodle and draw. So any kind will work." Needless to say, he received a plethora of note pads for Christmas from me, among other things! LOL!

Since then I've thought of Dylan's doodling, and decided to make him this special notebook using my new JustRite Stamper products!

First, I used my Harmony Rectangular Stamper and the Times Roman Font upper case and Times Roman Font Lowercase to write the word Dylan's. I stamped it on Neenah Classic Natural White using Jumbo Java VersaMagic ink.

I then used my Vertical Stamper (the narrow one) and the Times Roman uppercase and lowercase fonts to write the word Doodles. I stamped on my Acrylic Stamp Positioner . Then I removed the "D" from Doodles, inked the stamp and using the stamp positioner I stamped on the paper under Dylan's. Make sense? Perfect alignment...and so easy!

The notebook is one I found at Michael's for 66 cents! Don't you love a great deal? I covered it using Penny Lane Freebird paper from My Mind's Eye. I used my all time favorite Mono Multi Adhesive to glue all the paper down.

The stamps I used to embellish are from the Our Craft Lounge stamp set called Just Bugz . Aren't they adorable? I added some googly eyes and a little Stardust Stickles to the wings of the bug. I was doing my darndest not to make this girly. Do you think I succeeded? I can't wait to give it to him!!!

Just a reminder that we will have the Dreamy Treats giveaway going on. Be sure to see yesterday's post just below my Spellbinders post. You can win the JustRite product of your dreams if you're the lucky winner!

Ohhhhhh...I see that I just passed 150,000 hits on my blog counter yesterday. We must might have to do something to celebrate that tomorrow! :-)

Please be sure to visit Charmaine's blog to see what an awesome JustRite project she has for you today!!!

Thanks for stopping by! I will be back tomorrow with something new.

Spellbinders Dies are here!!!

These are a few of the Spellbinders Dies that I received today! Be sure to see the rest of them in the store!

We're Celebrating...

my Blogoversary!

And we're celebrating with JustRite products and samples all week long! We even have some Dreamy Treats for you!!! But first things first.

I made this card with the new JustRite Celebrations Demi Phrases and the 2" Wood Stamper with 15 pt font . Instead of using the flower vase that comes with the 2" Wood Stamper I chose to use the butterfly image from the Inkadinkado Best Friends clear stamp set. I did that primarily to show you the versatility of these JustRite stamp sets, and how they can be used in different ways.

First I took the "We're Celebrating" Demi Phrase and put it in my 2" Wooden block, then wrote "My Blogoversary" with the 15 point font. I stamped it on Butter Cream Prismatics cardstock using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.

The butterfly was stamped three times. First I stamped on a scalloped Frosted Teal Prismatics circle, then twice again on watercolor paper. You can see from the photo below how it's layered, and how much dimension there is on the card.

The designer paper is from the Girl Friday paper kit by Cosmo Cricket. The cardstock is Teal Prismatics and Blush Red Prismatics medium. The champagne ric rac is by May Arts.

This is the posting schedule for the week. I don't want you to miss out on anything!

Monday - Kimberly and me
Tuesday - Charmaine and me
Wednesday - Denise , Tosha , Kimberly and me
Thursday - Laurie , Cindy , Kimberly and me
Friday - Cammie , Kimberly and me

Now....didn't I promise some Dreamy Treats? This is what we're going to do! I would love to make all your dreams come true...but would you settle for just one of them? Which JustRite Product are you dreaming about owning? One lucky winner will win the JustRite item they have been dreaming of. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me what is on the top of your wish list. If the random number picker thingy selects your number, you're the winner. If we get more than 200 comments, I will draw a second winner, 400 comments, a third, etc.

You have until Wednesday, April 1 at 6pm CST. I will announce the winner(s) in my post on Thursday morning. Good luck to you all, and thanks for stopping by!

Some bunny loves you

Before I get to today's card, I wanted to tell you that today is my Blogoversary! Woo hoo! And we will be celebrating next week with some fabulous Dreamy Treats. Also, next week the entire Dream Team will be posting along with me for a whole week of projects using the NEWLY RELEASED JustRite Stampers products! You won't want to miss it!

Okay...on to the card. All stamps are from the Our Craft Lounge Pea-Nut Bunny clear stamp set! I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow (water based) markers and a damp paint brush.

The stamps used for the inside are also in the set. I think what did here is really pretty self explanatory.

The designer paper is Penny Lane Tiny Dancer by My Mind's Eye. The cardstock is Pink Prismatics medium and intense, and Vibrant Pink Prismatics .

It's time to announce the winner of this month's Stamper's Dream Dreamy Challenge! I numbered each entry in the order they were posted, and this is the result:

RAKS from some of my favorite people!

Honestly, when I receive a handmade card in the mail, it TOTALLY makes my day! I wanted to share a few RAKS I've received recently from a few of my favorite people!

The first card is from my dear friend Carol! Isn't it gorgeous? Carol and her friend Heidi have started their own blog called Our Little Inspirations . Please be sure to check it out. Both of those ladies are so sweet...and SO talented!

The second card is from the one and only Silke Ledlow . Now I just KNOW you guys know her work. Everything she does is absolutely fabulous!!! Thanks, my friend. You are just the sweetest!!! And your card put a big smile on my face! :-)

This beautiful Thinking of You card is from my friend Barbara Edwards. I have known Barbara for many years. She is a wonderful stamper, and a SU! Demo. Thanks Barbara, I love your card, and your thoughtfulness in making it for me.

Last, but not least, is a card made for me by my sweet little grandson Christian. He just turned 7 years old, and he loves to stamp and color with me. He's such a little sweetie! :-)

Thanks for stopping by! I have a cute little card ready for you tomorrow night, so please stop by then.

My Hat's Off...

This month the Stamper's Dream Dreamy Challenge was to CASE another Dream Team member. I decided to make another card for the challenge, this time casing Charmaine and THIS adorable Fluffles card! Doesn't she make the greatest cards???

I used the same Frilly Fluffles stamp, and pretty much used her same layout, but changed the papers.

The image was stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. It was colored using Tombow(water based) markers and a damp paint brush.

The cardstock is one of my favorites. It's Crabapple Prismatics light and medium. The strip of designer paper is from the Basic Grey Eva paper pad, and was a scrap I was happy to be able to use.

The *fluff* on the feather of his hat is sparkly fluff stuff (I don't know the real name of it) from Our Craft Lounge...coming soon to Stamper's Dream. The brads are from a package I found in the dollar bin at Target a while back. See how thrifty I'm being?

The scalloped edge was punched with a new EK Success punch. I think I have an addiction to punches (among other things)! LOL!

If you would like to play along in this month's Stamper's Dream Dreamy Challenge, you can read all the details in THIS POST . The winner will be announced Thursday night.

Thanks so much for stopping by tonight!

Smooches and more...

When we were at CHA the end of January, one of the awesome new products we found were Clearsnap Smooches Accent Inks . Well, it took them long enough to ship, but they are finally in the store! Let me tell you, these colors are just gorgeous!!!

I also received a partial shipment of some of the new Tim Holtz Embellishments . I hope the grungeboard and other embellies will ship soon!

I received an email from Spellbinders tonight. Now I'm not making any promises, but they SAID that all orders would begin shipping immediately. Since we were one of the first to order from CHA, I hope our shipment is in one of the earlier shipments. Picture me here crossing my fingers. :-)

I have a couple of new cards for you this week. I will be back as soon as I can.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

A *Beate-ful* card!

When I checked the SCS Featured Stamper forum this morning I saw that Beate is being featured today! Well OF COURSE I had to play along! She is so awesomely talented, and there are so, so many fabulous cards in her gallery from which to choose.

I'm not sure I did it justice, but the card I chose to CASE can be seen HERE . I kept her general design, but changed the stamp, flower and designer paper.

The stamp I used for my main image is Penny Black's To Be Nice rubber stamp. I absolutely love that sentiment, and believe the words are so true!!!

I stamped it on Neenah Solar White cardstock using Smokey Gray Verasfine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.

The stamped image and the panel behind it were cut out with Nestabilities Labels One die cuts. BTW...those will probably be back in the store tomorrow night! The larger Labels One layer is Stormy Prismatics medium. I used Tea Dye and Shabby Shutters Distress Inks on the edges of the designer paper, the main panels and the flowers.

The designer paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Everafter paper kit. Oh my....there is some gorgeous paper in there! I pierced all the way round the designer paper, used my ticket punch for the corners, and added some ribbon from my stash.

The flowers were made with Martha Stewart punches that my friend Tosh gave me. I have soooooo enjoyed those punches! The centers of the flowers are self adhesive pearls from Kaiser Craft.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope your day is a good one!

Stamper's Dream Dreamy Challenge

This month the Stamper's Dream Dreamy Challenge is for each of the Dream Team members to CASE another DT member! Tosha drew names and gave us the assignment as to who could case whom, and my assignment was to case Tosh! Geez.....is it any wonder I was skeered? I mean, really!!!

The card I chose to case is her Tree-mendous Love card. I have been drawn to the fabulous design of that card since the first moment I saw it. Even though I have the Tree-mendous Love stamp set in stock, I decided to change it up a bit by using a different OCL set called Life is Sweet !

I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow markers.

I added Heidi Swapp Bling Cherries to embellish.

The designer paper is Waterberry by Kaiser Craft . I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the punched lace border, and the sprinkles on the ice cream. The ribbon is by American Crafts. The cardstock is Blush Red Prismatics light and medium.

We would love for all of you to play along with this month's challenge! In fact, I have this prize for the lucky winner of the random drawing. All you have to do is case ANY of the Dream Team members and link your card in this post. Be sure to also include a link to the card you cased. If you post to the SCS gallery please use SDDC6 in the keywords so we can find it. I will announce the winner in my regular post on Thursday evening, March 26.

Check out what the rest of the Dream Team has come up with for the challenge! Charmaine , Cindy , Denise , Kimberly , Laurie , and Tosha

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Make A Wish

Since I didn't have much stamping time this weekend I made a quick and easy card with this new Hero Arts Clear Design set called Birthday Frames . I love it that there are four different birthday images in that set. And some of them can easily be adapted for masculine birthday cards. I need those the most with all the grands and two sons.

I stamped on watercolor paper and colored with Tombow markers. Then I used scissors to cut around the scalloped edge. I matted the main image to Baby Pink Prismatics medium, then to Frosted Kiwi Prismatics and last to Suede Brown Prismatics dark.

I popped up the main image with foam tape for dimension. The designer paper is from the Penny Lane collection by My Mind's Eye called Tiny Dancer . The green horizontal strip in the center is the reverse side of that same Tiny Dancer paper.

I pierced some holes in the pink horizontal mat. The brown burlap string is by May Arts.

Just for fun, I wanted to punch out a series of the circles to pop up with foam tape on the bottom of the card. But as many circle punches as I own, I couldn't find one that size. Finally it hit me...what about my new Easy Brad Maker Kit ? The smallest circle punch in that set was the perfect size! I just love it when things work out like that!

Thanks for stopping by tonight. I hope you're all having a good week (so far)!

Willow with Flowers

I would LOVE to have had a little more time to work on this card today, but my son called just as I started it this morning to tell me he and all the grands were coming here to spend the day with me. Yikes! That will teach me to put off things that need to be done!

I stamped Willow Kneeling Up with Onyx Black Versafine ink on watercolor paper. Then I embossed using Detail Clear embossing powder.

I stamped the image once again to make a mask. I put the mask over the stamped image, then used my stamp positioner to stamp Fall Grass .

The image was colored with Tombow (water based) markers and a damp paint brush. I used my new Martha Stewart butterflies punch and Intense Yellow Prismatics cardstock to make the butterflies. I added just a touch of Tea Dye Distress Ink to give them a little more depth. The yellow gemstones on their body are from Hero Arts.

The patterned paper is Sera Sera by K & Company. The blue cardstock is Nautical Blue Prismatics medium, and the green cardstock is Intense Kiwi .

Gotta run...I hear the grands calling my name! :-)

Thanks for stopping by today!
