First Feathers

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I was so excited that I found a little time this weekend to ink up this new stamp from Holly Berry House. It's called First Feathers and I think it's just adorable!

I stamped the image three times on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped images wee colored using Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush.

I placed the bottom image on a panel of Baby Blue Prismatics light which was cut and embossed using my Labels One Nestabilities . The brown layer behind it is Suede Brown Prismatics medium.

The larger flowers were made using my Martha Stewart Hydrangea and 3-in-1 Hydrangea punches. The small flower was made with my Punch Bunch Floral Lilacs & Daphne punch. The green leaves are also from that punch. The flower centers are Chocolate Pearls from Kaiser Craft.

The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Wisteria paper pad. The ribbon is 5/8" brown sheer by May Arts.

This last picture is so you can see how much dimension there is on this card with the popped up bird and flowers.

Mousey Hugs!

You all know how much I love to play along with the Featured Stamper challenge, so this morning I took some time to do just that!

Today's Featured Stamper at SCS is Sandra aka B-gin-R . Well, don't let her name fool you, because from the looks of her awesome cards, she is anything BUT a beginner! Her card that I chose to case can be seen HERE . I kept the general layout and design, but changed the stamps and designer paper.

All stamps used on this card are from the Penny Black Hugs clear stamp set!

I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, and embossed with detail clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush. The marker colors I used are 062,491,800,850,991,993 and N60.

I stamped the flower once again on a scrap or watercolor paper, cut it out and popped it up with foam tape for dimension.

It's hard to see in the photos, but I added three hot pink mini rhinestones to the centers of the flowers on the bottom left, as well as to the sentiment panel.

The designer paper is from the *NEW* Basic Grey June Bug paper pad. The cardstock is Frosted Pink and Intense Pink Prismatics , and Frosted Yellow Prismatics .

Happy 4th of July!

This is just a quick and easy card I made a while back, then neglected to post it. It's a good thing I remembered it today, huh?

The stamp is Stitched 4th of July by Stampendous. I stamped it on watercolor paper using VersaMark ink, then embossed with Adirondack Denim embossing powder.

The stamped image was colored with Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush.


The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Lime Rickey paper pad. The ribbon is from my stash, as are the star punchies. The cardstock is Classic Red Prismatics and White Prismatics .

Woo hoo! The Big News!!!

Poinsettia Box

As I was unpacking the new Holly Berry House stamps last night, I remembered this box I made YEARS ago! Actually, I don't remember making the box, I just remembered having it. Ha!

The stamp used for the box topper is Holly Berry's Persnickity Poinsettia Medium rubber stamp. It was stamped three times on white cardstock, and embossed with Detail Gold embossing powder. The stamped images were colored with Prisma Colored Pencils.

You can see from the image which layers were cut away, then stacked and popped up using foam tape. The center of the poinsettia is gold beads from the jewelry department at Michael's. They were adhered with JudiKins Diamond Glaze because it holds so well and dries clear. I'm pretty sure the box came from Michael's also.
