Hedgehopper

Happy Wednesday, everyone! I'm excited because it's another short work week for me. We are off Friday for New Year's, and all my kiddos are coming in so we can finally celebrate Christmas together! Woo hoo!

The main image on this card is Hedgehopper from Penny Black. I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. I then colored with Tombow Markers using a damp paint brush to blend.

The sentiment on the front is from JustRite's Adorable Dragon cling set. The clouds were cut from white felt using my Cloud Trio Die-Namics dies.

The sentiment on the inside is Impression Obsession's Happy Valentine's Day cling stamp. The border on the bottom is a Fiskars border punch, and the hearts on the front and back are from an EK Success punch I've had for a while.

All designer paper is from the Bo Bunny Crush paper pad. The cardstock is Classic Red Prismatics .

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope your week is going as well as mine! :)

Hedgehog Kisses

Did all of you have a wonderful Christmas? We aren't celebrating ours until this Friday since I had kids traveling all over the globe. Actually, it's giving me a little extra prep time, which is much needed!
This sweet image is Penny Black's Hedgehog Kisses cling mount stamp from their Slapstick collection. I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The image was then colored using Tombow Markers blended using a damp paint brush. Both heart balloons were glittered for a little sparkle.

The scallops at the bottom were made using Jumbo Scallop and Jumbo Scalloped Scallop Die-Namics. I added Baby Pink Candy Dots to accent. All designer paper is from the Bo Bunny Crush paper pad. The cardstock is Pink Prismatics and Classic Red Prismatics .

I hope you all are having a marvelous Monday! Thanks for stopping by today. See you back here soon! Until then...

For You...

Okay...I told you I was ready to move on to something besides Christmas, even though we're not having Christmas at my house until New Year's.
The stamp I used on this card is a new cling mounted stamp from the latest Penny Black release, called For You . I am always in need of boy cards, and this one is just so stinkin' cute!

I stamped the image on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear Embossing Powder . The image was colored using Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush to blend.

I cut the main image panel with Labels Seventeen Nestabilities then sponged the edges with Tea Dye and Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink .

All designer paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Togetherness 6 x 6 Paper Pad . The buttons are from my Basic Grey Buttons stash, and were threaded with May Arts Burlap String . The cardstock is Classic Red Prismatics and Nautical Blue Prismatics .

That's it for me. We are having our Christmas party at the office today. I finally finished addressing Christmas cards last night, and those are going in today's mail. It's a bit late, I know. But I AM making progress...slowly!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Beautiful Moments and Happy Memories...

Well, this is the last of my Christmas cards (even though I don't have any addressed yet)! And quite frankly, I'm ready to move on to the next holiday! LOL!
The sentiment on this card is from the JustRite Christmas Nested Sentiments stamp set...and it's ON SALE, as are all Christmas stamps at Stamper's Dream !

I stamped it using Perfect Plumaria Versamagic Ink , and embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear Embossing Powder . It was cut and embossed with a Spellbinders Oval die, and the edges were lightly sponged with Faded Jeans Distress Ink .

The oval layer behind the sentiment is Crabapple Prismatics cardstock. The blue panel behind the sentiment is Nautical Blue Dark Prismatics cut with Spellbinders Labels Thirteen Nestabilities .

The designer paper is from the Bo Bunny Midnight Frost 6 x 6 paper pad. The snowflakes were glittered with Krystallos Glass Shards and topped with Ice Blue Rhinestones . I used some mini rhinestones from Zva Creataive on the Labels Thirteen panel.

I know you all have a busy week, as do I. But I DO hope you can take the time to enjoy your Christmas preparations, and I thank you for taking the time to stop by today.

Until next time...

Bedtime Story

I haven't used one of these adorable MFT images in a while, and this one was calling my name!

The stamps used on this card are from the My Favorite Things Bedtime Story stamp set. Gotta love those adorable little Pure Innocence girls! I stamped twice on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink and embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear Embossing Powder . I colored the little girl on one, and the bed and nightstand on the other with Tombow Markers . I cut out the girl and put her aside to place on the bed after I paper pieced it with papers from the Basic Grey Olivia paper pad.

I added Mini Rhinestones to the nightstand drawers, and one to the pull on the lamp. I cut clouds from my Cloud Trio Die-Namics die and stamped the sentiment on one. The scalloped border on the card was cut using both the Jumbo Scalloped Die-Namics and the Jumbo Scalloped Scallop Die-Namics .

All designer paper is from the Basic Grey Olivia paper pad. The cardstock is from the Pink Prismatics Paper Trio .

I hope your Christmas shopping is going well. I'm off to try and finish mine tomorrow and *start* addressing Christmas cards. It's time, ya know! LOL!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Cardinal Altered Notebook

This was a fun project for me. You've probably seen altered notebooks that I've made in the past. There is a TUTORIAL HERE that I did a couple of years ago.
For this one I used the cardinal image from JustRite Stampers Backyard Birds . I stamped the image on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine Ink , embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear Embossing Powder then colored with Tombow Markers .

The designer paper is My Mind's Eye Holly Jolly, and the cardstock is Classic Red and Herbal Garden Prismatics .

I used Spellbinders Labels Seventeen to make the red and green strips behind the main image. Just cut and emboss each side of the paper with the long side of the Spellbinders die. This is what they look like before I assembled them.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope your Thursday is terrific!

Snowy & Rudolph

I'm still working on getting my Christmas cards made...and have quite a few yet to go! Or could you tell? Haha!

The main image used on this card is Stampavie's Snowy & Rudolph by Penny Johnson. I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder, then colored with Tombow Markers . The edges were sponged with Tea Dye Distress Ink .

The sentiment is from JustRite Stampers Holiday Cheer stamp set stamped on Classic Red Prismatics cardstock, then cut and embossed with Spellbinders Big Scalloped Circles . I used my MFT Let It Snowflake Die-Namics to cut the snowflakes. The designer paper is Basic Grey Jovial, and the buttons are from the Jovial Collection as well. The red borders on each side of the vertical panel were cut with MFT's Oval Chain Border . The ribbon is from May Arts .

Well, that's it for me tonight. It's been a horrifically busy week, and I'm really pooped, so I'm heading off to bed a bit early. Thanks so much for taking the time out of your day to stop by!

Polar Path

I have always loved paper piecing, so I decided to give it a whirl with this adorable cling stamp set from Stampendous called Polar Path .
I used three different papers for each of the polar bears. After stamping and piecing the image, I cut out the main panel using Spellbinders Labels Fifteen Nestabilities . I created the background after seeing an excellent tutorial by the ultra talented Kathy Racoosin . You can find it HERE . I simply followed her instructions using Tumbled Glass , Broken China and Faded Jeans Distress Inks. I've gotta warn you...it was really fun and potentially addictive! Ha!

The snowflakes were cut using MFT's Let It Snowflake Die-Namics . I coated them with Mono Multi Liquid Glue then sprinkled on Crystal Ultrafine Glitter .

The border on the bottom of both the front and inside was cut with MFT's Jumbo Ric Rac Die-Namics . The sentiment on the inside is Northwoods Script Merry Christmas . The cardstock is Blush Red Dark , and the designer paper is Basic Grey Figgy (from a prior year). Gotta use up some of my paper, ya know! :)

Thanks for taking the time to stop by. I hope you all had a mojo-filled Monday! I will be back soon with something new. Until then...

I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving holiday. But...is it over already? Darn!
The main image on this card is Stampavie's Christmas Puppies by Laurence Design. I've been dying to ink up those little puppies for weeks!

The sentiment is from JustRite Stampers Holiday Cheer stamp set. I added a Kaisercraft Pearl to the center of the snowflake, and cut out the black sentiment panel using Spellbinders Scalloped Circles .

The designer paper is all from the Basic Grey Jovial 6 x 6 paper pad. The cardstock is Classic Red Prismatics .

I'm off to start spazzing around her to get ready for the workday tomorrow. Does anyone else do that on Sunday night??? Thanks so much for stopping by!

Grandparents Day at the Grand Ole Opry

Actually, we weren't at the Grand Old Opry...but it sure seemed that way! For Grandparents Day at the children's school the production had a great country theme. Some of the 5th graders sang solos...and were even dressed and made up to look like the country singer they portrayed. They had Roy Acuff, Dolly Parton, Porter Wagoner, and Conway Twitty to name just a few. The young man in black is my 10 year old grandson Dylan. He performed singing a solo by Tim McGraw. The song he sang was "Live Like You Were Dying". The kids thought it was really funny that he was singing that song to a bunch of older grandparents. LOL!
This is Christian. He has his fake beard pulled down so you can see his face. He's into the "I'm not smiling for pictures" stage. Geez! They even sprayed his hair gray so he would look a little more like Kenny Rogers. His class sang "Coward of the County" and "Lucille".
This is Ryker, who is almost 7. He sang with the other kids from his class in a group. They belted out several country songs. Of course, they had all the hand motions to go with them. So stinkin' cute!
And last but not least, here is Ashlyn, the youngest of my 5 grandchildren. She sat in the audience with us since they don't allow the kindergarten age students to participate in the production. And I totally get that!!! Haha!
Thanks so much for indulging me. I am so proud of these kids, I just have to share once in a while! :) I will be back tomorrow with something crafty for you.
