The stamp on this card is Northwoods Pot with Poinsettia and Pine . I've been dying to color this beauty, so I finally took some time to play with it. Honestly, I was a little intimidated by this stamp after seeing what a fabulous job Tosh did with it in THIS POST . The girl knows how to color like nobody's business! :-)
I stamped the image on watercolor paper using my fave ink, Onyx Black Versafine then embossed using JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. Actually, I stamped and embossed twice so I could paper tole some of the flowers to give it a bit more depth,
I colored the stamped image using Tombow (water based) markers and a damp paintbrush. I cut out some of the poinsettias from a second stamping and popped them up using different thicknesses of foam tape. I like the look that gives instead of all of them being the same height.
To finish it off I added some Crystal Art Institute Glitter to the centers and leaves. I used a Quickie Glue Pen for my adhesive. The cardstock is Prismatics in Herbal Garden, Baby Blue and Classic Red.
This is probably your last post to register for the JustRite Curlz Font & Border Kit . I will announce the winner Sunday night.
I have a crazy day tomorrow. I'm having lunch and catching an early movie with my best friend that I haven't seen in about two months! Then I have my Saturday errands. You know, grocery store, bank, dry cleaners, etc. I will rush home after that to get ready for a 6:00 wedding tomorrow night. Don't ask me why, but I DO NOT like to go to weddings. It's one of those obligatory things I can't get out of. So I will get all gussied up on a Saturday night instead of staying home in my comfy clothes stamping. Now be honest...which would you rather do? LOL!
Thanks for stopping by....I hope your Friday is fabulous!

I hear ya, I'm not a fan of weddings or any obligatory social affair either. But you're doing the right thing by demonstrating your "esprit d'corps". Please wear some comfortable shoes.
Wow - this card is stunning. Love the dimension - it looks like it has texture too! Hope you have a productive day - at least you can enjoy a glass of wine at the wedding?
Wow, what a gorgeous image and I love all the dimension on those flowers. SUPER!
OMG,this is beautiful! Truly a piece of art! It looks wonderful with the popped up flowers, and your coloring is soo awesome!

I love Poinsettias and this card makes the image look like the real thing! GORGEOUS! The dimension makes you think it just might be dropping petals before your eyes.
Have fun at the wedding. Good food and music...could be a lot of fun, though I think I'd rather be stamping too! :)
Cheers!

I cannot WAIT to get my hands on this fabulous stamp! OMGosh you and Tosh have truly done this stamp justice! Gorgeous work by both of you!!
Like you, I'd much rather be home stamping instead of attending a wedding. I've attended so many over the years, that it's just not something I particularly enjoy anymore. Gimme my jammies, stamps and hot chocolate on a cool night and I'm happy :) Have fun hooking up with your friend for lunch and the movie :)
I love your poinsettia card. For me, Poinsettias just represent Christmas. They are such beautiful plants...so vibrant and rich in colour. Love them!!
I think you have totally outdone yourself on this one. It is totally gorgeous and worthy of framing and hanging on the wall!! You keep inspiring me with every post.....wendym
Most EXCELLENT artwork!!

I just came home from a wedding myself! Couldn't wait to get home and do something crafty!
Gorgeous card!
This card is just gorgeous, love the dimension you created. Your colors are so vibrant. This is a must have stamp for sure. TFS
So pretty!
I'm not crazy about to weddings either. Don't like getting all dressed up to go either.
Those poinsettias look real!
You did a beautiful job with your coloring. At first glance I thought they were real:)
