Bee Bookmark

There was a challenge by Sharon (is she awesome or what?) at No Time To Stamp? for making bookmarks. The ones she made were so adorable. I couldn't resist making one myself. Of course, it took me a while to get around to it! Hey...better late than never, right?

You can see her tutorial and instructions HERE . I followed her directions exactly, and had no problem whatsoever. They were perfect!

For the bookmark itself, I used a cute little Stampendous bee called Bee Secret . I stamped her (I think she's a girl) on white cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. I colored with Tombow markers, then added some Stickles Glitter Glue .

The stamped image was cut out and embossed with a Nestabilities oval. The black scalloped panel behind it was also cut and embossed with Nestabilities.

The sentiment on the bookmark is Secret Admirer . I stamped little black flowers on the Printworks yellow striped cardstock for added interest and depth.

For the bookmark sleeve, I stamped Stampendous Bee Wings once on white cardstock, then again on the Printworks yellow check paper. I colored and cut out the body of the one stamped on white cardstock, then adhered it over the image stamped on the front panel. The sentiment is Stampendous Crazy About You .

Gosh....that's a lot of writing! I hope that wasn't too much information! But if it wasn't enough, please let me know if I left out something pertinent.

Only two more days until I announce the winner of the blog candy! You may leave one comment per post from the Dreamy Treats announcement through Wednesday for and additional chance each day. If you are a daily reader, I guess that gives you a real edge. And one would also have to read the blog post to know they can get extra chances, wouldn't they? :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate each and every one of you!
