Poppy Stems

What a night! I've been buzzing since I walked through the door from work!

Needless to say, I made this card in record time. I will have to think about what I might have done differently if I hadn't been so pressed for time.

The image is from Stampendous, and it's called Poppy Stems . I really like this stamp. When I first saw it I envisioned bright and bold color.

I stamped the image on white marl paper, then colored with Tombow water based markers. The panels in coordinating colors were punched with the Corner Adorner Concave punch.

I used a corner rounder to make the double scallop on the red cardstock. It might be a little hard to see in this photo, but I used my Cuttlebug Bloom Dots embossing folder to emboss the patterned paper which I layered over the red scalloped piece.

The ribbon is all from May Arts, and the background paper is Basic Grey Romani. Yes, I've been hoarding it. Old habits die hard. :-)

I know this is a bit short, but I still have many packages of stamps to wrap for shipping before I can call it a night.

Thanks so much for checking in....and have a happy Friday!
