I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I know I did. It just wasn't long enough! (Is it ever?)
I had so much fun making this card! The main image is from Stampendous, and it's called Banana Split . I think the image itself lends itself to ice creamy colors, which made it fun to color.
I stamped on watercolor paper with Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The image was colored using Tombow markers and a blender pen. I used White Opal Liquid Pearls for the whipped cream, then added a dot of JudiKins Diamond Glaze on each of the cherries. In case you can't tell from the photo, the Diamond Glaze adds dimension and shine.
After doodling a bit around the outer edges, I trimmed the pink cardstock panel with Fiskars Mini Scallop scissors, then added another panel of lavendar paper.
The sentiment is also from Stampendous. It's called Sweet! . After stamping, I punched it out with a small oval, then trimmed a piece of lavendar cardstock around it with my Mini Scallop scissors. A little bling was added to each side of the sentiment just for fun!
The heart is simply a pink paper clip, and the ribbon tied to it is from May Arts. The background paper is Basic Grey from the Romani collection (one of my favorites).
Have a great week...and thanks for checking in.
