1 of a Kind

I was on a bit of a roll this weekend, and decided to attack this Northwoods Standing Deer . One of the guys at my office has a birthday coming up next month, and he's an avid deer hunter. So his birthday card pretty much needs to have a deer on it, huh?

I stamped the image on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.

The stamped image was colored using Tombow (water based) markers and a damp paint brush.

The background is Kraft Prism Paper . I stamped it with JudiKins Stone Background using Sepia Versafine ink. It's such a perfect background for masculine cards!

The sentiment is from Hero Arts Anytime Messages clear stamp set. It's my *go to* set these days! I cut it with my petite oval Nestabilities.

The brown cardstock on the card is Suede Brown Prismatics . The accent color is Sunflower Prismatiacs .

You will notice that the sentiment on the second card is cut from the Sunflower cardstock. I couldn't decide which way I liked it better. What do you think?

Thanks to each of you for stopping by my blog. I appreciate your kindness and your sweet comments!

I will be back soon with something else new!

Until then....

What a great guy card! Either color of the sentiment panel works for me - they're both a perfect match! This has a real masculine feel to it and your friend at the office will surely appreciate the time you took to make this for him!

What a lucky man! I'm sure that he will love it. For what it is worth, I like the sentiment on the Sunflower cardstock best.

Tell you what -- forget your colleague and just send that card to me! I love your coloring and contrasting blue shadows beneath his tummy. Your choice in DP is fabulous, as is the oval tag and punched corners and brads. A magnificent card, my dear.

Michelle, this is SUCH an extremely handsome card. The gentleman in your office is truly going to be bowled over by it. Both versions look fantastic. If I HAVE TO choose, I think I like the sunflower prismatics the best.
