New Rubbah....and Luigi!

FINALLY....the Impression Obsession stamps arrived tonight! I've been stalking my UPS guy for days in hopes that he was coming to deliver them! LOL!

The wood mounted cupcakes stamp is soooooo cute! It's appropriately called Cupcakes . I also have a number of cupcake sentiments in the store that go with this stamp. Then there is the Cupcakes Clear Stamp Set . It's smaller than the wood mounted, but oh so cute! I just happen to know that Laurie is posting a sample card made with this set later tonight, so be sure not to miss it!

The Smell The Coffee clear stamp set is back in stock. It sold out immediately the last time. And you just MUST see Amy's sample using this set HERE .

Since I was busy getting the new stamps in the store I didn't have any time for stamping, so I made this quick and simple card.

I have to tell you, I have always LOVED this stamp, and I can't explain why. It's just cute! He is named Luigi , and the stamp is from Rubber Soul. I continue to collect cooking and recipe related stamps...and this is one of them. I AM going to stamp a cookbook one of these days. I really am!

The sentiment is also from Rubber Soul, and is called What's Cookin? .

I have to apologize for the photos of this card. I don't know much about photography, but the problem must be something about the light reflecting off of the white card. I think? Should I use a different colored backdrop when I photograph white cards?

That's it for me tonight. I'm off to figure out what's for dinner.

Thanks for stopping by!

Re the white cards not photographing properly, I've just learnt (after having my digital camera for 5 years...!) that there is a setting you can change to help this - white balance.

You can set it manually by showing the camera a white card (it then registers that as "white" no matter what it looks like in the current light, and adjusts other colours accordingly).

Good luck! :o)

Hey Aunt 'Chelle!!! I hadn't been by in a while thought I would stop and see what you were working on!!!

For your white card photographs, try re -setting your white balance. I know someone already mentioned this but they said to use a white card and that will just freak your camera out. You need use something gray. It needs to be between 18% and 35% (perfect would be 25%) gray. I know you should have some card stock stored somewhere that would work!!!

I don't know you're setup so I can't tell you specifically about lights or flashes or anything. If your using a basic on camera flash, you need to bounce it or diffuse it. Try putting a piece of tape over the flash if its on the camera (like one of those pocket cameras) and if its a pop up, you might try putting the camera on a tripod and setting for a long exposure and leave the flash off. If you have lights set up, you might want to turn the brightness on them down, if you have that option. Or throw a white bed sheet over it...just not for too long, cause you know, the whole burning the house down thing wouldn't be so good!!! But you'd probably have a kick-ass picture!!!

Let me know if I can help with anything!! Love you, Devon

THERE you are! Where HAVE you been? It's not nice to keep your fans in suspense like this! As for the card, it's perfect and I love it. I hope I can find the DP you used.
