Arlene Cuevas I am a Bay Area native living in the beautiful sunny state of California with my husband of 11 years and our 3 sons. My love of crafting and art began at a very young age. As a little girl, I remember taking my Mom’s medical notepads, cutting them up and binding them together to create a “journal” I could draw and paste pictures in. My love of scrapbooking peaked after attending my first Stampin’ Up party in 1995. I started with card making and lay-outs. But in 2005, after becoming more involved with Blogger and later YouTube, my love of crafting expanded to mini-albums, altered art, art journaling and so much more!  | Christina Fischer I am married to a very supportive husband, and I am a busy mother of four children. I am a teacher by profession, but I've been a SAHM for the last 18 years.  | Joanne Thompson I live in sunny Southern California with my husband of 2 years. I was first introduced to scrapbooking by my sister in 2005. From there my passion for crafting took off. Lea Lawson My name is Lea Lawson, and I reside in beautiful Missoula, Montana. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Josh, for 8 years, and we have two of the cutest dogs in the world- a yorkie named Bailey and a cocker spaniel named Sadie. I am a professional photographer, who focuses on weddings and senior portraiture, but also throw my hat in on some families and babies at times. I have been crafting in some shape or form for as long as I can remember! While I used to scrapbook more than I made cards, the tables have completely turned and I actually barely scrapbook any longer. I almost 100% exclusively make cards now, and I love it! The card making community is wonderful, and I have met some amazing women through it.  | Leslie Miller I'm a stamping fanatic living happily on the southern Oregon coast with my husband, Rich, and our (precious) Golden Retriever, Wally. Our son, Isaac, is all grown up and I'd love to say that I'm now a lady of leisure, but I just keep getting up and going to work every day. Old habits are hard to break. I find time for the things I love most, though, and that would be family (including Wally), friends, gardening, reading, movies, and exploring the great outdoors. And then there's stamping... Well, who would have thought this little hobby of mine would grow into such a passion? I was an Art student in school and had a fascination with paper back then, I even had a small card collection. I started out scrapbooking about eight years ago and quickly turned to card making.  | Tosha Leyendekker I’m a SAHM to two children: a son who’s a Freshman in College, and a daughter who’s a High School Sophomore. My husband and I own and operate a dairy in the Central Valley of California and have been married for 19 years. As far as stamping goes, I’ve been stamping for about 13 years and am hopelessly addicted. I owe my addiction to Splitcoast, which I’ve been a member of for a couple of years now. They have a plethora of fabulous stampers, ideas, and challenges, which have helped pushed me out of my comfort zone. That, in turn, has helped me improve. I even have the privilege of being a Dirty Dozen alumn. I’ve been on a couple of other DT’s, but am currently designing exclusively for Michelle here at Stamper’s Dream. Mariana Grigsby I live in Northern Illinois with my husband and our two sons. I am originally from Mexico where I was raised and went to College. My mom was the one who introduced me to the craft world many years ago, but it wasn't until 2006 that I became addicted to it. I started blogging a year ago, just because I wanted to participate in challenges, and since then I have had a lot of fun. I think I am very lucky to have a supportive husband who knows that I love crafting, and encourages me to do so. I made this card for Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Challenge. According to the rules, you can't use any picture stamps. The only stamps allowed are sentiments or background stamps.
Since I called in this morning taking the day off for a *mental health day*, I was fortunate enough to have the time to play along!
A friend of mine is going through some tough times right now. And sadly, I don't get to spend as much time with her as I used to, so I thought this sentiment would be perfect. The card is going in today's mail!
The sentiment is Penny Black's True Friends . I love that sentiment, and could actually use it for all my friends that I don't see often.
I stamped it on Urban Prairie paper using turquoise pigment ink, then embossed using JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. I used my petite oval Nestabilities to cut and emboss.
The designer paper is also from the Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper pad.
I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch and cut the butterfly twice. Once in the turquoise color as a base, and the second time from Sunflower Prismatics medium. The bling on the butterfly is from Kaiser Craft .
Honestly, I have to admit that I wanted to add ribbon or something else. But ultimately I decided that the paper was pretty enough to stand on its own, so I quit while I was ahead!

I really like this new Hero Arts clear stamp set. My intention was to do it in soft shades of blue, but obviously I got distracted and went in a different direction! I AM easily distracted these days! LOL!
The name of the clear set is Three Tree Christmas . I stamped it on Neenah Solar White cardstock using VersaMark ink, then embossed with JudiKins Malachite embossing powder. I don't know how much you can tell about the color of the embossing powder unless you click on the image to enlarge it. But it's gorgeous stuff! It's several shades of green with a copper fleck in it.
For the sentiment, also included in the set, I stamped with Versamark ink on acetate and embossed with copper embossing powder. Actually, the sentiment shows up well in real life, but not as well as I would like in the photograph.
The designer paper is from the Memory Box Frost Collection . I even stitched around the edges with brown thread. The cardstock is Sage Prismatics and Suede Brown Prismatics .
The snowflakes on the front and inside the card were cut with my new Spellbinders Snowflake Wonder . I cut them from Cryogen White cardstock, then added a touch of Stardust Stickles to give them added sparkle. The pearl is from Kaiser Craft .
The sentiment on the inside is also from the Three Tree Christmas set.
Oh yes....tonight is the night to announce the winner of the first ever Stamper's Dream Dreamy Challenge! I numbered all the entries (leaving out the comments that were just really comments), then went to the random thingy to get the number.

Actually, I don't think I want one TO KEEP, I just need one to take care of a few things around here. Sunday night I had two light bulbs out in the kitchen ceiling. When I built my house a couple of years ago I insisted on having high ceilings...like 20 feet high! I like the open spacious feel of it. What I didn't count on was having to change the light bulbs. Geez....what a pain! I have one of those long thingys that you buy for changing light bulbs you can't change any other way...you know, AS SEEN ON TV? I could tell you long and hilarious story about climbing up and down the ladder, always having the wrong attachment on the darned thingy, then the screw fell out and I had to climb down for about the 10th time. Under my breath I was saying words that you would not want a child to hear...ever! When I finally finished (and I won't tell you how long THAT was) I began to laugh. The only thing that came to mind was that old joke...."How many Aggies does it take to change a light bulb?" I went to LSU, by the way. No Aggies in THIS house! LOL!
THEN...last Sunday evening I started to go out the laundry room door into the garage/warehouse to get some items to package for shipping. Between me and my car's back tire was a snake. Yep...you read that right. And where were my garden tools to hit him with? On the OTHER side of the garage!
So....being the quick witted intelligent woman I am, I picked up my car keys, got in my SUV and started driving back and forth, in and out of the garage more than a dozen times, hoping to run over him. I didn't. And I have NO IDEA where the sucker is! If my neighbors saw that, surely they think I've lost it!
If I had a husband he could take care of these things that are mechanical or icky and drive me nuts. Of course, then I might have to perform sexual favors...so maybe I should give that more thought, huh?
I have a card for you, but didn't have time to get it photographed, so I will post it tomorrow night. In the meantime, here are a few of the new things in the store that arrived tonight! You can find all of them in either the Basic Grey or the Inkadinkado section.

I was on a bit of a roll this weekend, and decided to attack this Northwoods Standing Deer . One of the guys at my office has a birthday coming up next month, and he's an avid deer hunter. So his birthday card pretty much needs to have a deer on it, huh?
I stamped the image on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.
The stamped image was colored using Tombow (water based) markers and a damp paint brush.
The background is Kraft Prism Paper . I stamped it with JudiKins Stone Background using Sepia Versafine ink. It's such a perfect background for masculine cards!
The sentiment is from Hero Arts Anytime Messages clear stamp set. It's my *go to* set these days! I cut it with my petite oval Nestabilities.
The brown cardstock on the card is Suede Brown Prismatics . The accent color is Sunflower Prismatiacs .
You will notice that the sentiment on the second card is cut from the Sunflower cardstock. I couldn't decide which way I liked it better. What do you think?

Doesn't this card look just like a Christmas gift with a pretty bow?
The stamp set I used is Plaid Bow and Ribbon by Northwoods Rubber Stamps. One of the things I love about this set is that it could be used for any occasion. Actually, I also made a birthday card with it that I will post later this week.
I stamped both stamps twice on white cardstock using Onyx Black Versafine ink, and embossed with JudiKins Clear Detail embossing powder.
I colored the image using Tombow (water based) markers, then cut out each one.
The cardstock I used is Classic Red Prismatics . It's such a beautiful Christmassy shade of red. I used my Argyle Cuttlebug embossing folder to add texture and design to the paper. The green note card is Classic Green Prismatics .
I cut one of the ribbons and made it two pieces for the vertical ribbon. Then I adhered the horizontal ribbon piece to the card. I took the one of the bows and cut the loops from it, adhering them under one bow to add dimension. Then I stamped just the center of the bow on a scrap of paper, colored it, and popped it up in the center using foam tape.
The sentiment is Northwoods Dash Merry Christmas . I used my rectangular Nestabilities to frame it.
Honestly, it was all I could do to MAKE myself not add other things to the tag, or the card. I wanted it to be simple, yet striking. Why is it so hard for us to quit while we're ahead? LOL!
