Ice Skate Stockings

What a day! It's one of those that you think maybe you would like to erase? At least part of it?

I was scheduled to be at business meeting this morning about 90 miles from here. Just as I was approaching the exit off the Interstate I called one of the other people who was going to the meeting, and was informed that the meeting had been cancelled. The notice of cancellation went to my boss...who is out of town. And apparently not reading his email. Or forwarding it to me. SO...that's pretty much how my entire day went! LOL!

I made this card using my new Impression Obsession Ice Skate Stockings cling stamp.

After stamping with Onyx Black Versafine ink, I embossed with Detail Clear embossing powder. The image was colored with Tombow Markers and blended with a damp paint brush. I stamped just the bow on scrap paper, colored and cut it out, then popped it up with foam tape.

The colored image was cut and embossed using my new Labels Eight Nestabilities . I very lightly distressed the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink .

To embellish, I added some of my NEW Mini Pearls using a Quickie Glue Pen for adhesive.

The sentiment on the inside is Impression Obsession's Christmas cling stamp.

The designer paper is Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses . The cardstock is Blush Red Prismatics dark.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope to be back tomorrow. It IS going to be a better day. I just know it! :-)

Excuse me, Michelle... let's see if I've got this right... you run your store AND have a regular job? If that's the case, okay, I'm never complaining again! As IF you needed a 90 mile drive for nothing. I hope it at least gave you some quiet time for thinking. One simply MUST think once in a while. BTW, I love your card! The IO image is so adorable, and your colors are so sweet! I love your store and everything in it. The stamps and accessories you choose to stock are top notch... sigh...

What a beauty!! I can't believe you made time to stamp a card after your day got off to such a rotten start! I feel your frustration, but we're all human and somehow we all make horrendous mistakes now and then. I'm glad you could focus on something positive after that and make this gorgeous card! I LOVE all the tiny pearls!! Make Friday a much better one :)

Good Grief - what a dreadful start to the day! :(

I really love this card - the paper looks fantastic and your colouring is exquisite. I use Tombows and blender pens ALL the time and love the soft looke that it creates and this is no exception. Love the popped bow and the tiny pearl detailing!!

Brilliant! And it's even more brilliant because you were still able to come up with a creative card, even if your day was kinda stressful. Anyway, keep on doing more pretty stuff! =)
