You Make Me Smile

First I want to thank you all for your thoughtful comments on yesterday's post. I think I was just a little "frazzled" and needed an evening off! I'm sure there will be more days like that, but hopefully it won't be anytime soon!

I adore this cute little frog! It's a Penny Black stamp called Jump for Joy! . I stamped it on watercolor paper then colored using Tombow markers and a blender pen.
The sentiment, also from Penny Black, is appropriately called You Make Me Smile . After stamping the sentiment I punched it out with my larger SU! Oval. I then punched another oval in pink and layered it behind the sentiment. The green oval behind that is a McGill punch that has been discontinued, darn it. I hate that because it's such a nice compliment to the SU! Oval.

The pink background is simply cardstock stamped with only the daisy portion of the Jump for Joy stamp. I inked it using VersaMark ink, then embossed with white embossing powder.

To complete the card I put a bead of Stickles Glitter Glue around the edge of each of the stamped panels. Actually, the Stickles wasn't dry when I photographed this card. That's why it looks a little lumpy!

I have ribbon that matches this card perfectly. As hard as I tried, I just couldn't find a place to put it! Why is it that we always seem to want to add more! LOL!
