Thinking...and smiling! FS50

This is the card I made today for the Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast. Today's featured stamper is KathyC . She has a great gallery, so be sure to check it out.

The card I chose to case can be seen HERE . According to the rules of the challenge, you must change 2 or more things on the card. I changed everything except her layout. I loved the simple layout, and it's a great one to showcase a favorite sentiment.

Speaking of favorite sentiments, this is one of mine. It's Penny Black's Thinking...and smiling . You could use that sentiment for a LOT of different people...male, female, and it's even appropriate for my grands! After all, I DO smile when I think of them. :)

This card is a perfect example of what great paper and accessories can do for you. Only the sentiment is stamped. I used my square Nestabilities to frame the sentiment.

The designer paper is from Fancy Pants. I found it on my Dallas shopping trip a couple of months ago. And the ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. I found it in the floral department a while back...on sale for 50% off!

I'm off work tomorrow for the holiday. Woo hoo! I have a long list of things I want to accomplish. But then, I might just have to stamp a little. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!

Have a great evening...and thanks for stopping by!

Love the fonts on the sentiment and the whole design of this card. I have never tried the top fold card yet, but after seeing this I'm going to have to try one. Love those rounded corners too. BTW, how did the boss like his card?

Love this card. You are right, sometimes you just need the perfect sentiment and then some paper, etc. Great inspiration.
