Happy Birthday Jesus!

I know....this birthday cake IS purple! LOL!

For those of you who may have missed yesterday's post, my 3 year old grandson asked for a purple birthday cake for Christmas. No matter how many times you ask he what he wants for Christmas, he always says, "A purple birthday cake."

We don't know exactly why. But our best guess is because his parents have been teaching him of Christ's birth and the true meaning of Christmas. (The purple part still has us baffled!)

So.....being the loving Mimi that I am, I had to make sure that Jacob had a purple birthday cake. I can't wait for him to arrive tomorrow to see it. We're even going to let him blow out Jesus' birthday candles. :-)

Merry Christmas to you, my friends! Thanks for all the special friendships here, new and old. Who would have thought I could feel so close to people I've never even met! Each and every one of you bless my life in so many ways, and for that I am truly thankful.

I am thinking of you today because it is Christmas
and I wish you happiness.
And tomorrow, because it will be the day after Christmas,
I shall still wish you happiness.
My thoughts and my wishes will be with you always.
Whatever joy comes to you will make me glad.
All through the year
I wish you the spirit of Christmas.
HENRY VAN DYKE

Love and hugs to you all!
