Blush - Just for You Featured Stamper Challenge

You all know how much I enjoy Sunday's Featured Stamper challenge at Splitcoast! Today was no exception! It was such a treat, and so difficult to choose just one from the fabulous gallery of LilLuvsStampin . She is such a super talented lady. Please cruise her gallery if you haven't already. So, so many great cards to see!

The card I chose to case is HERE . I was pleased to use one of my favorite Penny Black Stamps. I changed the colors, sentiment, and embellishments.

The main image is Penny Black's Blush . If I could remember back that far, I would almost bet that this is the very first (of many) Penny Black stamps I ever bought. It's timeless, and a favorite.

I inked the stamp with my VersaColor cubes. They are small, and so easy to use for projects like this. I stamped on white cardstock, then used a corner rounder on all four corners.

The sentiment is from My Favorite Things Icing On The Cake stamp set. It fit perfectly in my SU! small oval punch. The green layer behind the sentiment is the larger SU! oval, and the pink behind it is the SU! designer label.

I think the rest of it is self explanatory. The patterned paper is from Hobby Lobby. Sorry, but I didn't get the brand name before I cut it and adhered it to the card.

The good news is that I got my Christmas tree up this afternoon. AND it's decorated, except for the tree topper. I haven't done the mantle yet. To be honest, I was pretty exasperated after I wrestled the tree out of the attic (literally)! It was in the mid 80's here today, so I was sweating while I was decorating the tree. Something just doesn't seem right about that, does it? LOL!

Gotta go get the pork chops off the grill and get ready for Desperate Housewives. It should be really good tonight! I know...I need a life! :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate each and every one of you!

this is probably my favorite color combination! I LOVE that paper and this stamp! The rounded corners and punched sentiment pull it all together so well! Love it!!

This is so pretty, love pink and green together. Know what you mean about decorating for Christmas when the temperature is in the 80's.

Michelle, This card is totally beautiful! I love that stamp also. You are the master (or should I say mistress) of beautiful color combinations. You are really shining on this one.

This is sooooo pretty! Love the color combinations as well as seeing the beautiful flower. We've had SO MUCH snow lately that seeing a flower is uplifting!
