I have been a fan of Cindy's work for quite some time now. Then I had the pleasure of meeting her in person and spending some time with her at CHA this year. I have to tell you she is an absolute delight! Of course I have not ONE , but TWO little birdies who tell me she's quite the cut-up. What that really means is that she will fit in with this awesome group of ladies just fine! LOL!

Love Birds

Are you ready for some football? Today is the big day...and I can't wait to see the game! Being in Louisiana, you MUST know who I'm rootin' for! Who dat!!!

Okay...on to my card. If you haven't noticed, Stamper's Dream now has My Favorite Things clear stamps in stock! The new release is in the store, and the Pure Innocence girls will be here soon. LOVE those darling little girls. :)


This card is made with the Love Birds clear stamp set. I but both the birds AND the tree on my clear block to create my scene, then stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink. I stamped just the birds once again on Sugar Rush designer paper, then cut them out and adhered them over the main image.

The tree and grass were colored using Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush.


The sentiment was stamped on Sugar Rush designer paper. ALL designer paper used is from the Basic Grey Sugar Rush paper pad. The cardstock used is Vibrant Cobalt and Intense Yellow Prismatics.

Taco Soup

Is it cold and rainy at your house? Well, it is here!Last weekend the weather here was so cold that I decided to make a big pot of my favorite Taco Soup. You know...it's comfort food on a day when you need something warm and special. This recipe makes A LOT of soup! I halfed the recipe and still had tons, so I shared some with my neighbor, Tim. He's single and always appreciates a home cooked meal. :)

While I was at it, I decided to photograph the soup and make a recipe card. I have procrastinated about starting my recipe collection. But with inspiration from Denise and her gorgeous recipe cards, I finally decided I had to start somewhere! Be sure to look at her recipe cards on THESE blog posts! Isn't that girl awesome?!?



I typed the recipe on white cardstock using the free CK Becky Font that Mish shared on one of her blog posts. It's a free font called CK Becky and you can get it on Becky Higgins Blog .

The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Offbeat paper pad. The stamped image is from the Cookbookin' U R Cookin' clear stamp set. It was stamped with Onyx Black Versafine ink and colored with Tombow Markers .

As soon as I find the perfect designer paper I am going to make a recipe book from the Cardkeepers Album Kit similar to the one Denise made for her mom. You can see hers in THIS post.

Valentine Martini

How about a valentine card? I haven't made nearly enough of those this year!
This adorable valentine martini is from the My Funky Valentine clear stamp set. I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush. It was then cut and embossed using Spellbinders Labels Eight .

Using my Quickie Glue Pen I added a little adhesive to the rim of the glass, then sprinkled on some Crystal Ultrafine Glitter .


The sentiment is Impression Obsession's With Love stamp. The cardstock is Frosted Pink Prismatics . The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Sugar Rush paper pad. The ribbon is Rose Silk 1.5" Ribbon .

I'm still waiting to hear from yesterday's dreamy treats winner! I DO hope she checks back to claim her goodies!
