Friendly Surprise

This card just makes me happy! Of course, Penny Black stamps always do! :-)

The stamp used for the main image is Penny Black's Friendly Surprise . I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored with Tombow markers and a damp paint brush.

The main panel was cut out using my Spellbinders Labels One dies. Just for fun, I popped up his little feet and the bird with foam tape for dimension.

The sentiment is You Are My Sunshine from Rubber Soul. I cut the left end with a corner rounder.

The designer paper is Penny Lane Freebird by My Mind's Eye. The cardstock is Baby Blue Medium Prismatics and Classic Red Prismatics .

So...it's time to announce the winner of Friday's Dreamy Treat, for the What's Cookin' Borders & Centers and the Harmony Circle 1-5/8" stamper .

They are all cute. But my favorite would be the teacher treats. I'm always looking for something to use for teacher gifts. I would probably first use it to make a bag filled with some homemade cookies. My second favorite is the Secret Family Recipe. I think it would be cute to make an album for my family and use this. Oh, I love all of them. I love the Chocolate delights to put on a bag with a chocolate gift.

Awwww, isn't this little guy the cutest thing? And that little red bird steals the spotlight! Gotta ask you though, what punch did you use for that red border? I love that!
