Candy Jars...AND Blog Candy!!!

What a week...already! I had a Monday at work yesterday...even though it was really Tuesday. LOL! Did that happen to any of the rest of you?

The good news is that I've had a blast with my new Impression Obsession stamps! This one is called Candy Jars . I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored with Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush.

To embellish the rock candy sticks I added a bit of JudiKins Diamond Glaze to each, then sprinkled with Art Institute Glitter's Glass Glitter Shards . I DO SO love that look!

The designer paper is from the My Mind's Eye Colorful Christmas paper kit. The scalloped edges were punched with Martha Stewart's New Scallop Edge punch. I added Mini Rhinestones to the bottom scallop for a little bling.

The sentiment on the inside of the card is from the JustRite Something Sweet borders and centers set. I cut and embossed it using Spellbinders Labels One Nestabilities . I just love it that I could use a non-traditional Christmas stamp, and the sentiment ties the main image to the Christmas season. Versatility is a good thing!

The cardstock used is Baby Blue Prismatics , and Blush Red Prismatics .

So....DO NOT miss what the rest of the Dream Team has in store for you! I tell ya, those gals are just AWESOME, aren't they? Here is the schedule for the rest of this week:

Today: Silke , Becca , and me

Thursday: Denise , Laurie , Becca , and me

Friday: Tosha , Silke , Amy and me

Please BE SURE to see what they have made for you...you are sure not to be disappointed!

Now...I do believe I promised a little Dreamy Treat when I hit 200,000 on the counter, didn't I? And that happened sometime yesterday. Woo hoo! Please just indulge me a moment while I say how very grateful I am for each and every one of you who come here, and particularly those of you who are kind enough to take time out of your day to leave a comment for me. Your encouragement is priceless, I assure you!

So...in order to qualify for the Dreamy Treat, I would like you to leave a comment on this post to answer this question: Since it's Impression Obsession Week at Stamper's Dream, please go to the store, choose your favorite Impression Obsession stamp that's in the store, and tell me what it is in your comment. Easy, huh? Okay...to make it easier you can have more than one favorite! How's that? :-)

I will use the random.org thingy to choose the winner and announce it on Sunday, September 13.

Thanks for stopping by! I will be back tomorrow for Day 4 of Impression Obsession week. Until then...

Your blog and designs are tremendous and I've so enjoyed seeing them everyday. I love the IO stamps and really like that you've allowed more than one "favorite!" The humorous ones really get me: A Bump in the Snow (too funny!); Free Parking, and the Turkey Pilgrims. I absolutely love the Shuttered Window Box, as I tend to be drawn to anything vintage, distressed, and/or antique!

All the mice, but especially From Our Home
Sympathy Sentiments
A Litle Birdie
Spring Paisley
Fancy Ornaments
Dark Horse and last, but definitely far from least,
Santa Horses.
There just is no way to pick only one. I would need a small fortune to get the whole kit and kaboodle.

Wow, Impression Obsessions stamps are new to me, so it was very hard to narrow it down to a favorite - I like the fireman snowman because I have a friend who is a cpt in the local fire dept. He likes anything 'fireman' so that would be perfect for a card for him. I love those little chickodees, and nice sympathy sentiments are so hard to find, but I guess that I'd have to say my favorite, favorite is the "let is snow" set of snowman stamps.

Thanks so much for sharing

I love the tree and poinsetta stamps. Fortunately I went to the stamp show in Greenville, SC today and bought it. IO was there. The little Christams Mouse carrying the tree is cute as well. Your card is delightful. The rock candy looks wonderful. Winning would be wonderful. I love the Halloween Cat Stamp and all the other goodies.

I love anything with snowmen, so my favorites would have to be "Let it Snow" and "snow kisses".

Your candy card had me craving some rock candy sticks something terrible! *grin* Ah, fond memories.
I don't have to go to the store to find my fave IO stamp...I bought it a few weeks ago and posted a card using it on my blog just TODAY! (Partridge in a bare Tree)...but wait...that stamp isn't in the store. *pout* OK, so IN the store my fave would be that solid hydrangea block...pretty.
