Willow with Hot Chocolate

Have you finished your Christmas shopping?
I finished mine yesterday, just in the nick of time. I still have to wrap more gifts, but at least the shopping is done! Whew!

I took time out this morning to make this card using Whiff of Joy's Willow with Hot Chocolate unmounted rubber stamp. I have wanted that stamp for quite some time now, so I finally took one out of inventory for myself. :)

I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored with Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush.

The designer paper is from a K & Company Ancestry Mat Pad I found at Michael's. I cut it using my Spellbinders Labels Eight Nestabilities .

The Gold Woven Velvet Ribbon is from May Arts, as is the 5/8" Teal Sheer ribbon. The button is from the French Twist Bag-O-Buttons .

The cardstock is Island Mist Prismatics medium and dark, and Tawny Light .

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope the rest of your week is a peaceful one, so that you can enjoy the Christmas season.

Henry Mouse eating Cookie

By now you have all figured out that I totally love these Henry Mouse stamps. I think this is the fourth one I've posted! This one is called Henry Mouse Eating Cookie .

I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush.
I embellished his hat by adding White Opal Liquid Pearls sprinkled with Crystal Ultrafine Glitter .

I used a Ranger White Opaque Pen to do a little highlighting on the hat and cookie. There is even a little on his tail. The edges of the stamped panel were sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink .

The sentiment is from my go-to set of JustRite Christmas stamps, A Merry Little Christmas . I framed the sentiment using Labels Nine Nestabilities .

The designer paper is Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses . The cardstock is all three shades of Crabapple Prismatics cardstock. The three baubles are Dew Droplets from The Robin's Nest.

I expect the NEW JustRite Stampers Release tomorrow. At least, that's what my shipping confirmation says. Keep your fingers crossed! :-)

I'm going to spend the afternoon watching The Saints and doing a little stamping. I hope you enjoy your Sunday. Thanks so much for stopping by today.

I stamped on watercolor paper with Onyx Black Versafine ink, embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder, then colored with Tombow Markers .

The snowflakes were punched with a McGill punch then glittered . The buttons are from various Basic Grey collections. The designer paper is from the Basic Grey June Bug paper pad. The cardstock is Classic Red and Classic Yellow Green Prismatics .

Another Henry Mouse

Yes...it's another Henry Mouse! I think these images are just adorable! This one is called Henry Mouse with Christmas Bauble .

I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored with Tombow Markers then blended with a damp paint brush.

I cut and embossed the image using Labels One Nestabilities then distressed the edges a bit. I used Silver Stickles glitter glue to embellish the design of the ornament.

The sentiment is from the Impression Obsession Christmas Tree Mouse clear stamp set. The larger snowflake was cut using Spellbinders Create-A-Flake 2 , and the smaller snowflake is from a McGill punch. The button is from the Autumn Leaves French Twist Mini Bag-O-Buttons and it was threaded using May Arts Red Burlap String . The teal 5/8" sheer ribbon is from May Arts as well.

The designer paper is from Basic Grey's Fruitcake collection a couple of years ago. Does anyone EVER use up an entire collection of paper? LOL! The cardstock is Intense Teal Prismatics .

We got a little reprieve from all the rain today, but it's back in the forecast for tomorrow and Friday. Geez...enough is enough! We're all quacking here! LOL!

Webster's Pages Angel

You can see that it didn't take me long to use some of the *NEW* Webster's Pages paper that just arrived. There is only one thing wrong with the paper...is so pretty you won't want to cut into it! Honestly!!!
The paper I used on this card is from their Sweet As Cherry Pie petite papers. I only cut it down 1/8" to put it on a 6" kraft note card.

The main image is Whiff of Joy's Confirmaton Melinda . I stamped on watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored with Tombow Markers and blended with a damp paint brush.

Using my Quickie Glue Pen for adhesive, I added Crystal Ultrafine Glitter to her wings. I distressed the edges with my scissors, then used Tea Dye Distress Ink for aging. Since I was going for a vintage look, I added ivory crochet ribbon and some Prima roses.

The sentiment on the inside is Stampendous You're An Angel . I cut each of the four corners of my Pink Prismatics paper with a Fiskars border punch, then added a tiny pearl from the new Mini Pearls by Zva Creative .

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend. It's been rainy here, which is *perfect* stamping weather if you ask me!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Perfect Love

A friend of mine needed a wedding card. Since I didn't have one in my stash I made this one for her to send. I really hope she likes it. It was actually pretty quick and easy...and that NEVER happens for me! Ha!

The main image is Whiff of Joy's Wedding Cake unmounted stamp. I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored with Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush.

The corners of the panel were punched with a Fiskars corner punch, then Blush Pearls were added to embellish.

The sentiment is from the Whiff of Joy Wedding Sentiment Collection . It was stamped on Crabapple Prismatics cardstock, then cut with my Spellbinders Fancy Tags . The burgundy velvet ribbon is May Arts, and the designer paper is from the Madeline paper pad by K & Company.

So, that's it for me tonight! I'm off to find something for dinner.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

JustRite Wedding Card

A couple of days ago I mentioned that I am going to a wedding this Saturday. I am friends with the groom's parents, as well as the bride and groom, so I decided I wanted to personalize their wedding card so they would know it was made especially for them.

I started with the JustRite Wedding Ensemble . I chose a center, snapped it in my 1 5/8" Wooden Stamper then stamped on light blue cardstock using Encore blue ink. I embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.

The sentiment was cut and embossed using my Inverted Scalloped Circle Nestabilities then layered to a brown scalloped circle.

Using JustRite Times Roman Font I wrote their names and their wedding date then stamped and embossed. The circle layer behind their names is light blue vellum.

The medallions are Fleur De Lis Pendants by Spellbinders. Two were cut from brown cardstock, and two from light blue vellum. The corners are from a Cuttlebug corner die, and the pearls are Kaiser Craft .

The sentiment on the inside is from the Whiff of Joy Wedding Sentiment Collection . It was cut and embossed using my Long Rectangle Nestabilities . The border on the bottom was cut and embossed with the Fleur De Lis Borderabilities .

This was SUCH a fun card to make! I sure hope they like it.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you're having a great week and finding an abundance of mojo!

To the Happy Couple!

Whew! What a weekend! The grands were here...so that's always a hoot! Today I grilled shrimp and made all the trimmings for the troops while the kiddos swam in the pool. I'll bet they sleep well tonight...I know I will! LOL!

I am going to a wedding next weekend, so I need to be thinking about a card for the happy couple as I stamp this week. I bought their gift on Saturday, and it's already wrapped. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, huh?

This sweet image is Whiff of Joy's Willow Bride . I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The image was cut and embossed using my Labels Four Nestabilities then colored with Tombow Markers .

The frame is Classic Frame Frameabilities cut and embossed in Frosted Pink Prismatics and Crabapple Medium Prismatics . The pearls are Kaiser Craft and the designer paper is Basic Grey Porcelain.

For the inside of the card I used the Wedding Sentiment Collection embossed with Labels Four. I trimmed with a part of the Classic Frame and some Porcelain paper.

I hope your weekend was as good as mine, and that you got half as many hugs and sloppy kisses as I did! LOL! Thanks for stopping by!

Stamper's Dream Dreamy Challenge 7

It's time for our Stamper's Dream Dreamy Challenge!!!

This month The Dream Team is issuing a challenge that includes colors, texture and bling!

The colors we are using are Island Mist Prismatics medium, Blush Red Prismatics dark, and either Birchtone Prismatics light OR Suede Brown Prismatics dark for your neutrals. You must add texture as we are with the Spellbinders Impressabilities and some bling!

Tosha says that compatible Stampin' Up colors are Baha Breeze, Riding Hood and Sahara Sand. If you don't have Prism Papers, you can use any colors that are similar! We want EVERYONE to play along! The texture can be Cuttlebug Folders or something else if you don't have Impressabilities. Use your imagination and dazzle us with your creativity!

I chose to use the Impressabilities Butterfly to texturize my Island Mist Prismatics medium background.

The stamp is Melinda with Bouquet by Whiff of Joy. I stamped it on watercolor paper, then cut it out with my Labels Three Nestabilities . The image was colored with Tombow (water based) markers and a damp paint brush.

I used my Quickie Glue Pen as an adhesive then sprinkled Crystal Ultrafine Glitter on the wings.

The corner flourish is cut from Blush Red Prismatics cardstock using my Spellbinders Flourish Accent Shapeabilities. The bling on the flourish is Zva Creative Mini Rhinestones applied with a touch of Mono Multi Liquid Glue .

The flowers and center brad are from my stash.

We would love for all of you to play along with this month's challenge! In fact, I have this prize for the lucky winner of the random drawing. All you have to do is follow the rules listed above and link your card in this post. If you post to the SCS gallery please use SDDC7 in the keywords so we can find it. It's A Cupcake Kind of Day...

I don't know what took me so long in getting around to using this fun image from Whiff of Joy. (So many stamps...so little time?) It's called Melissa with Muffin Basket and it's simply adorable!

I stamped it on watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black Ink then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow (water based) markers and a damp paint brush. I used my Quickie Glue Pen to add Crystal Ultrafine Glitter to the wings. The finished image was cut and embossed using Labels Four Nestabilities by Spellbinders.

The ribbon is 1" Teal Sheer by May Arts. I used Ivory Burlap String to tie the bow through the button.

The sentiment on the inside is Cupcake Kind of Day from Impression Obsession. Once again, I used my Labels Four Nestabilities to frame the sentiment and layers. The designer paper is from the Just Chillin' Girl paper pad by Making Memories. The cardstock is Intense Kiwi Prismatics and Island Mist Prismatics medium.

If this post doesn't make sense, or there are a lot of typos, it's because I'm trying not to miss anything on American Idol as I write it. So...whaddaya think? Who is going home tonight? Sadly, I think it may be Kris. But I'm off to watch and find out.
Edited to add: Oh NO! It's Danny! Wah! I LOVED him! I mean...he can SING! I guess that explains why I'm not in the music business? I think he's fabulous!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Tax Day?

I know I've been missing for a few days, but I have been busy working on my Income Tax Return, and other things. Not as fun as stamping...but quite necessary! After all, I don't want them to come looking for me! LOL!

This adorable image is called Melinda with Flower Basket and it's from Whiff of Joy. I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine Ink then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored with Tombow (water based) markers and a damp paint brush.

The designer paper is from the Waterberry paper kit by Kaiser Craft. I added Waterberry Epoxy Brads and a corner element die cut with a Cuttlebug die.

The cardstock is Island Mist Prismatics and Blush Red Prismatics . The border punch is from EK Success.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a Happy Tax Day! :-)

You Bless Me

I had a little time to play, and I couldn't wait to use this new angel image from Whiff of Joy . The stamp is called Confirmation Melinda . Isn't she pretty? Now I don't send many cards for confirmation, but I can think of many other appropriate uses for this stamp!

I stamped on watercolor paper, colored with Tombow (water based) markers and cut out the image. All designer paper is from the Chatterbox artsy.licious fine paper collection . The background panel is flocked, and the oval and sentiment panels are glittered. This is some gorgeous paper!!!

I used my new Labels Four Nestabilities to cut the panel for the sentiment both on the outside and the inside of the card.

The You Bless Me sentiment is by Wordsworth. The ribbon behind the sentiment is rose sheer from May Arts. I tied two knots in the ribbon before adhering it to the card layer to bunch it up.

The sentiment on the inside is You're an Angel by Stampendous. It was stamped on Frosted Pink Prismatics cardstock using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.

The brighter pink cardstock is Intense Pink Prismatics . I added two small adhesive pearls to each end of the sentiment. After looking at the photo, I think I may take those off. I might like it better without them.

The last step in completing the card was to add Frosted Lace Stickles to the angel wings.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by. I will be back soon. Until then...

Thanks A Bunch

I received a new shipment of stamps from Whiff of Joy last week. I'm dying to ink some of them up!!! But since I had already started this card, the new ones will have to wait their turn.

I stamped with Onyx Black Versafine ink on watercolor paper, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored with Tombow (water based) markers. The edges were distressed with a Tim Holtz Paper Distresser , then with Distress Ink .

The sentiment is from the Whiff of Joy General Sayings set. I stamped it on Spring Willow Light Prismatics then cut it out with my NEW Deckled Rectangle Nestabilities die.

The designer paper is from the K & Company Madeline Paper Pad . The cardstock is Spring Willow Prismatics and Razzleberry Prismatics .

The border punch is by Martha Stewart. The flower punches I used are from Martha Stewart and The Punch Bunch. The adhesive pearls for the flower centers are by Kaiser Craft.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Willow with Flowers

I would LOVE to have had a little more time to work on this card today, but my son called just as I started it this morning to tell me he and all the grands were coming here to spend the day with me. Yikes! That will teach me to put off things that need to be done!

I stamped Willow Kneeling Up with Onyx Black Versafine ink on watercolor paper. Then I embossed using Detail Clear embossing powder.

I stamped the image once again to make a mask. I put the mask over the stamped image, then used my stamp positioner to stamp Fall Grass .

The image was colored with Tombow (water based) markers and a damp paint brush. I used my new Martha Stewart butterflies punch and Intense Yellow Prismatics cardstock to make the butterflies. I added just a touch of Tea Dye Distress Ink to give them a little more depth. The yellow gemstones on their body are from Hero Arts.

The patterned paper is Sera Sera by K & Company. The blue cardstock is Nautical Blue Prismatics medium, and the green cardstock is Intense Kiwi .

Gotta run...I hear the grands calling my name! :-)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Rainy Days

Have I told you that we have a new shipment in the store from Whiff of Joy ? Apparently some of you have figured it out, because they are selling pretty quickly! :-)

I made this card a while back and never posted it because the stamps sold out. The stamps used are Willow Umbrella Girl and Fall Grass . Actually, I used the Fall Grass stamp from the Accessories and Sentiments set, but I'm pretty sure it's the same stamp as their single.

And why do they call that stamp Fall Grass anyway? It's pretty Springy looking to me! LOL!

I did my usual...stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored and shaded with Tombow (water based) markers and a damp paint brush.

The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Urban Prairie 6 x 6 paper pad. I love that stuff!

This is a shot of the inside of the card. I haven't quite decided to whom I will send it, so I left off the sentiment until I need it so I can make it appropriate for the occasion.

Before I forget, I wanted to be sure to let you know that my friend Tosha is going to be posting some VERY AWESOME blog candy tonight! She reached 100,000 hits a few days ago, and that girl DOES know how to do Blog Candy right! Congratulations, Tosha! You only have that many hits because your work is soooooo fabulous! :-)

So be sure to check out her blog later tonight for the goodies. I PROMISE it's great stuff you will want!

Thanks for stopping by tonight. I'm off to make dinner. I totally missed most of Dancing with the Stars, darn it! Yes...I know I'm old. But I LOVE that show!

Melinda Hugging Hearts

I made this card for both today's Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS, and for the OCC Lovey Dovey challenge! WOW! I've NEVER gotten two challenges in one card before! LOL!

Today's featured stamper is paulatracy. Please be sure to check out her awesome gallery is HERE . I cased her Make A Wish card. I used the same stamp and general layout, but changed the vertical ribbon to horizontal, and changed the papers and colors to make it uniquely my own.

The stsamp I used on the front of the card is Melinda Hugging Heart by Whiff of Joy.

I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.

The stamped image was colored using Tombow (water based) markers and a damp paint brush. After shading the wings, I added Frosted Lace Stickles for a little sparkle.

The pearls in each corner are from Kaiser Craft . The cardstock is Pink Prismatics and Blush Red Prismatics dark.

For the inside of the card I used the Elisabeth Bell Accessories & Sentiments set, also from Whiff of Joy. I accented the little hearts on the pillow with a Stardust Clear Gelly Roll pen.

The designer is by The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby, and the ribbon is from my stash.

I'm off to work on preparations for Christmas...like wrapping gifts? Nope...still haven't done it yet! And my procrastination about it is totally stressing me out! :-)

Have you seen the blog candy giveaway on my friend Joan Ervin's blog at Stamping With A Passion ? She is new to blogging, and is celebrating 10,000 hits! Be sure to get on over there fast...the drawing is today after she gets home from church! And she has some really awesome goodies! While you're there, be sure to check out her fabulous work!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
