An Eggnog?

I'm really not quite sure why they named this cute little Penny Black stamp An Eggnog . What don't I get about that? LOL!

I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored with Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush. The santa hat was stamped once again, cut out and popped up with foam tape. To embellish it I spread a thin layer of White Liquid Applique then sprinkled itwith Crystal Ultrafine Glitter while it was still wet. The layer behind the main imge was cut with my Spellbinders Labels Three Nestabilities .

The sentiment is from the JustRite Stampers A Merry Little Christmas borders and centers set. I punched the sentiment with a McGill Stacking Oval punch (1" x 1-1/2"), then punched the red layer behind it with the next size larger McGill Stacking Oval (1-5/16" x 1-13/16). Those were both layered onto a Ribbon Tags Trio 2 shape cut from Blush Red Medium Prismatics cardstock. The ribbon is May Arts Dark Red Two Tone Ribbon .

The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper pad. The cardstock is Blush Red Medium and Dark and Spring Willow Medium Prismatics .

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm off to watch Dancing With the Stars! :-)

Snowflake in Bloom

I took a little time this weekend to play with the Holly Berry House Snowflake In Bloom Medallion stamp. The possibilities just endless!

I stamped it using VersaMark Watermark Ink then embossed with JudiKins White Diamond Embossing Powder . I love that ep because it's white with silver glitter in it. It's soooooo pretty!

The image was stamped twice on Iced Colbalt Prismatics , and twice on Frosted Cobalt. It was then stamped once on Intense Cobalt, which is the bottom layer.

As you can see from my sample, I just kept cutting away at it, then stacking the layers using Scotch foam tape. Using my Quickie Glue Pen for adhesive, I added Art Institue Glitter's Crystal Ultrafine Glitter to each layer. The center is Kaiser Craft Snow White Pearls colored with a Copic C5 marker. You might need to click on the picture to see the detail. I had a hard time getting a good picture...darn it!

For the background I used my new Impression Obsession Fluff Cover-A-Card background stamp with my *NEW* Mega Mount Rocker Block . Oh...how I DO love that new block. So easy to use!!!

The panel behind the snowflake was cut and embossed with a Spellbinders Labels One Nestability . This last picture is just to show you the dimension.

So...that's it for me tonight. Thanks for stopping by!

A birthday card...

My granddaughter will be four next month, so I created this birthday card for her. I think it will make her giggle!

The stamp I used is Mouse Carrying Cake by Tina Wenke. Isn't he cute???

I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The image was colored using Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush.

Using my Quickie Glue Pen I added adhesive to the decorative icing then sprinkled on Crystal Ultrafine Glitter . The edges of the main panel and the scalloped circle were sponged with Tattered Rose Distress Ink .

All the designer paper is from the Breaking Free paper kit by My Mind'e Eye. The scalloped border strip was cut from the ice cream patterned paper I used for the background. The cardstock is Blush Red Medium and Frosted Teal Prismatics . The ribbon is May Arts 5/8" Teal Sheer . The button was threaded with Pink Burlap String .

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy your Sunday!

More Halloween Treats!

Yes...I made more treats for Halloween! Hey...I have FIVE grandchildren. It takes a lot of special candy for my special little guys! LOL!

This is a Skittles box I covered...you can get that size for $1 at Wal Mart. The image is Penny Black's Catman . I stamped it on white cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits.

For the sentiment I used my JustRite 2" Wood Stamper with Bonus Font , then used the 15 point font that comes with the stamper to write Happy Halloween.

The purple fence at the bottom is a Martha Stewart punch. The gemstones on the corner treatment are from Hero Arts.

This is actually a box of M & M's that I covered, and it's the same size as the Skittles box above. I used the same Happy Halloween as above that I wrote on my 2" Wooden Stamper , then added "to my teacher" with the 15 point font.

The adorable little pumpkin in the center is from JustRite's Witch Way to the Treats . I stamped it on orange cardstock, then cut it out. The orange and purple layers behind the main image were cut and embossed with my Spellbinders Inverted Circles Nestabilities .

For a little added bling I put a few Mini Rhinestones . The black bats were punched with a Martha Stewart Bats Corner Punch and adhered using my Quickie Glue Pen .

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Teacher Treats for Halloween

This weekend I worked on teacher treats for the grands! They need some for school teachers, and some for Sunday school teachers...so they need A LOT of them!

These are Hershey Bar boxes, which you have probably seen on my blog before. The first two were made using JustRite's 2" Wood Stamper with 15 pt font . I used the font to write Happy Halloween and To My Teacher. The centers in each of those is from the JustRite Favorite Occasions borders and centers set. I stamped on yellow cardstock then colored with Prismacolor Pencils, and blended with odorless mineral spirits.

On the second one I used purple , green and ivory burlap string. The ivory burlap string was colored with an orange Tombow Marker .

For this candy bar box I used Witch Way To The Treats for the center.

A tutorial for these Hershey Bar Boxes can be found on THIS POST .

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you're having a good Monday. Well, as good as a Monday CAN be! LOL!

Nature's Gift

Sorry I've been a little absent for the last few days. Sadly, I can't say I was getting a lot of stamping done, but I accomplished some other things that I can cross off my list! I love it when I can cross things off my to-do list!

The main image for this card is from the JustRite Autumn Blessings stamp set. I stamped the autumn corn image on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine (my favorite ink), then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored with Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush.

The layer behind the main image is Spellbinders Labels Nine Nestabilities . I used Blush Red Prismatics Dark and bordered it in Intense Yellow Prismatics .

The designer paper is from my stash. The ribbon is 1.5" Dark Red Two Tone by May Arts. I lovingly call this a *Becca* bow. :-)

On the inside of the card I used Inkadinkado's Nature's Gift rubber stamp.

I hope you are all having a nice and relaxing Sunday. I will be back soon with something new. Until then...

Christmas Mouse

Stamping time has been kind of hard to come by lately. This is a quick and easy card for the holidays...but I actually like it!

The main image is Penny Black's Christmas Mouse rubber stamp. I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush.

I put a thin layer of White Liquid Applique on the top of the stocking. While it was still wet I added some Art Institute Glitter Crystal Ultrafine Glitter .

The little mouse head was stamped again, colored and popped up with foam tape.

The designer paper is from the My Mind's Eye Colorful Christmas paper kit. I used my Martha Stewart Arch Lattice Edge punch to make the two strips on each side of the striped panel. The cardstock used is Vibrant Pink Prismatics .

The ribbon is May Arts White Sheer . The button is from my stash...and was threaded with May Arts Pink Burlap String .

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hand-Mailed by A Hedgie...and a winner!

I hope you've all had a good weekend! Is it almost over...already? :-(

I didn't have a lot of stamping time this weekend, but I DID find the time to stamp this cute Penny Black image called Hand-Mailed . It was stamped with Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush. It was then cut and embossed using a Spellbinders Curved Rectangle Nestabilities die.

All the designer paper is from the My Mind's Eye Merry Days of Christmas paper kit. The bottom of the diagonal stripe paper was cut using a Spellbinders Fancy Scalloped Pierceability . The Blush Red Prismatics panel in the center was embossed using a Herringbone Cuttlebug embossing folder. The green cardstock is Spring Willow Prismatics medium. The green button in the top left corner is from my stash. I tied the bow with May Arts Red Burlap String .

So...I'm sure you came here to see a card, didn't you? Or was it to find out who won the blog candy? LOL!

Drumroll please....

The stamp is called Admiration . I stamped it on watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then embossed with Detail Clear embossing powder. Candy Jars...AND Blog Candy!!!

What a week...already! I had a Monday at work yesterday...even though it was really Tuesday. LOL! Did that happen to any of the rest of you?

The good news is that I've had a blast with my new Impression Obsession stamps! This one is called Candy Jars . I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored with Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush.

To embellish the rock candy sticks I added a bit of JudiKins Diamond Glaze to each, then sprinkled with Art Institute Glitter's Glass Glitter Shards . I DO SO love that look!

The designer paper is from the My Mind's Eye Colorful Christmas paper kit. The scalloped edges were punched with Martha Stewart's New Scallop Edge punch. I added Mini Rhinestones to the bottom scallop for a little bling.

The sentiment on the inside of the card is from the JustRite Something Sweet borders and centers set. I cut and embossed it using Spellbinders Labels One Nestabilities . I just love it that I could use a non-traditional Christmas stamp, and the sentiment ties the main image to the Christmas season. Versatility is a good thing!

The cardstock used is Baby Blue Prismatics , and Blush Red Prismatics .

So....DO NOT miss what the rest of the Dream Team has in store for you! I tell ya, those gals are just AWESOME, aren't they? Here is the schedule for the rest of this week:

Please just indulge me a moment while I say how very grateful I am for each and every one of you who come here, and particularly those of you who are kind enough to take time out of your day to leave a comment for me. Your encouragement is priceless, I assure you!

So...in order to qualify for the Dreamy Treat, I would like you to leave a comment on this post to answer this question: Since it's Impression Obsession Week at Stamper's Dream, please go to the store, choose your favorite Impression Obsession stamp that's in the store, and tell me what it is in your comment. Easy, huh? Okay...to make it easier you can have more than one favorite! How's that? :-)

Impression Obsession Week!

Happy Labor Day! The Dream Team is celebrating all week with cards using stamps from Impression Obsession . I will list this week's schedule at the bottom of my post.

The stamp I used for the main image is Impression Obsession's Toasty Treats cling mount stamp.

I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black VersaFine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored with Tombow Markers . The marshmallows and whipped cream were embellished with White Liquid Applique then sprinkled with Ultrafine Crystal Glitter while it was still wet. The edges were dirtied with Distress Inks .

The sentiment is from JustRite Stampers Holiday Demi Phrases stamp set. It was stamped on Mint Prismatics cardstock, then cut and embossed using Spellbinders Labels Five die cut. The snowflake was cut from a Martha Stewart Glacial Snowflake punch, then glittered using Art Institute Glitter's Vintage Glass Shards .

I really love using paper for Christmas cards that isn't meant to be Christmas paper. I picked up that little trick from my friend Tosha . She is the master at pulling that off so eloquently. The designer paper I used is from the Cosmo Cricket Li'L Man Paper Kit . The cardstock is Blush Red Prismatics dark, Mint Prismatics and Tawny Prismatics medium.

Be sure not to miss anything this week! There are so many awesome designs in store for you:

Today: Cammie , Charmaine , and me

Tuesday: Amy , Denise , Charmaine and me

Wednesday: Silke , Becca , and me

Thursday: Denise , Laurie and me

Oh yeah...I'm still searching for some blog candy to celebrate 200,000 hits coming up this week. Stay tuned!

Simple Sympathy

Sadly, I needed a simple sympathy card for a friend who buried his mother just this week. So I needed it to be a little masculine...no ribbon or bows, and I needed it to be fairly quick. I'm working on some things for a special promotion we're having next week. (More about that tomorrow.)
I turned to my two "go to" stamp sets for sympathy. The main image on the front is JustRite's Thinking of You set. I used Onyx Black Versafine to stamp on the patterned paper, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The leaves were colored with Prismacolor Pencils, and a White Opaque Pen was used to color the flower.

I used my new Spellbinders Labels Five Nestailities for the background layer. The pearls are Kaiser Craft Pewter Pearls .

The sentiment on the inside is from my other "go to" sympathy set. It's from Impression Obsession's Sympathy Sentiments clear stamp set.

All the designer paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Everafter Paper Kit . The cardstock is Birchtone Prismatics medium and dark, and Candle Glow Prismatics dark.

I'm quickly approaching 200,000 hits on my blog. Hmmmm....maybe I should be looking for some blog candy to give away soon, huh? Be sure to check back to see what I come up with! :-)

I hope you're all having a fabulous holiday weekend. I will be back tomorrow morning with something new. Until then...

How Sweet!

You've just gotta love these sweet little Sarah Kay girls! This one is called How Sweet You Are . And it definitely IS sweet!
I stamped the image on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush.

The flourishes at the bottom were cut and embossed with Spellbinders Flourish Accents . I added a couple of Primas, and the brad in the center is a Basic Grey June Bug Glazed Brad . The designer paper is from the Basic Grey June Bug paper pad. The cardstock is Yellow Prismatics , Classic Red Prismatics and Black Prismatics .

Well, the good news is that tomorrow is Friday, and we are off work Monday for Labor Day. So I have a long weekend! Woo hoo! With any luck maybe I can manage to get in some extra stamping time...I hope? :-)

Thanks for stopping by. I will be back soon with something new. Until then...
