Winter Wishes

Sorry to be so late posting tonight. A friend/customer came by to do some shopping, and we had a lot of fun visiting. So I was a little behind schedule making my card for tonight.

Both images on this card are from the Gina K Designs Let It Snow stamp set. I just LOVE the little cabin stamp. It's very versatile. You can see that by looking at the other card I made using the same stamp a week or so ago.

Both the main image and the sentiment were stamped using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.


The main image was colored using Tombow markers. I added Stickles Glitter Glue on the snow and tops of the cabins.

I used my new rectangle Nestabilities to cut out and emboss the main image, as well as the scalloped red layer behind it. Gotta love those things...they are way cool!

My snowflake embellishment is a Heidi Swapp clear ghost shape snowflake. I added Stickles to it as well.

Happy Little Penguin

This happy little penguin is from the Gina K Sandy Claws stamp set. It was still on my desk from a card I posted a couple of days ago, so I decided to ink her up. Hey...it was easier than putting it away! LOL!

I stamped the main image using Versafine Onyx Black ink. She was colored with Tombow markers. The scarf and cap were paper pieced using the same paper as the background. It's from Paper Adventures and is called Holiday Joy Mini Dots.

For the ball on the cap I used a small dot of White Liquid Applique, then put a little Crystal Stickles Glitter Glue on top for sparkle.

The main image and the red scalloped layer were cut and embossed using my new rectangle Nestabilities. I just LOVE those things!

The sentiment is also in the Sandy Claws set. I inked only the first word, stamped it, then cleaned my stamp, inked the other two words and stamped below.

I used my SU! Oval punch to cut out the sentiment, then layered it on top of my Designer Label punch. I added a bead of Crystal Stickles Glitter Glue around the edge of the oval. The ribbon is from my stash.

Busy day today. I had meetings all day long, and didn't even get a break for lunch. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday! Some weeks there just aren't enough Fridays!

Thank You for Christmas...

I attended a Christmas luncheon today. It was really a very nice event, and extremely thoughtful of them to invite me. So I decided I would make a little thank you card to send the hosts. Of course, this could be used as a thank you for a Christmas gift as well.

This was really a pretty quick and easy card, so you could make several in a short amount of time if you needed to. If you changed the papers, it could be used for any occasion. I am always in need of thank you cards. I don't send nearly as many as I should. And it really makes someone feel so special to get one in the mail, doesn't it?



This was made from two different Outlines Rubber Stamps. The red square layer is from the Joy Ornament Square , and the other stamp is Outlines Thank You .

First I stamped the Joy Ornament Square on red Daisy D's designer paper, then embossed with detail clear embossing powder. The reason I chose this stamp for my back layer is because it has a more festive border than that Thank You square. I added Green Geo Shapes Sparkler Stickers for a little bling.

The Thank You was stamped and embossed twice, once on blue Daisy D's designer paper, and again on green cardstock. Each was cut out and layered.

The blue scalloped layer was cut from Daisy D's paper using square Nestabilities.

The bottom edge was trimmed with my new Martha Stewart embossing punch. I used a 50% off coupon to buy it at Michael's a few weeks ago.

The new My Favorite Things stamps are here. And they are cute, cute, cute! I will have them up in the store before I go to bed tonight.

So...that's it for me. I'm still recovering from yesterday's marathon day, so I'm going to try to hit the sack a little early if I can. Somehow, that never seems to work out as I have it planned!

Max Bobble

Sorry that I don't have much for you tonight except this little tag. It's pretty cute, and I love this sweet little stamp, don't you?

The stamp is Max Bobble from Stampendous. And it's on sale in my store!

I stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.

The image is colored with Tombow markers and a Tombow blender pen, then doodled around the edges. I think the rest is self explanatory.

Sorry this is so short and to the point. Can you tell that I'm exhausted? LOL!

The Open House at the office today went extremely well. We had A LOT of people! The punch and food held out well, the office looked really nice, and most of the staff was helpful. The good news is that it's over. I don't want to do it again anytime soon, for sure. It's going to take me a while to recover from this one!

Joy!

This stamp is such a happy one! You may recall that I used it once before for a gift card holder. But I think it looks much different on this card.

The stamp is from Outlines Rubber Stamps and is called Joy Ornament Square . One of the things I like about this stamp is that you can change the colors and make it look great with most any designer paper or background. As you can see here, I got a little carried away using different colors.

I stamped the image on cream colored cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.



The stamped image was colored using Tombow markers. I chose colors from the Basic Grey Fruitcake designer paper used for my background.

The image was stamped twice more, once on red cardstock, then again on green cardstock. Each was cut out then layered using Scotch Mounting Tape to give added dimension. The red layer in the back was cut and embossed with my square Nestabilities.

As a finishing touch I added Red Geo Shapes Sparkles Stickers to the green frame. The ribbon is from my stash, and is most likely from Michael's.

TIP: When applying Geo Shapes Sparkler stickers, instead of using tweezers or your fingernails, "stab them" with your craft knife. Works like a charm!

I have a horrendous day ahead tomorrow. We are having a Christmas Open House at our office. My boss sent out 1569 invitations, then told me a week later that he has a meeting with the governor that day, and will not be able to attend. Yikes! (Actually, that isn't exactly what I said when he told me! But since this site is G Rated, I will leave it at that!)

I have been decorating the office for a week, shopping for food, making many batches of punch, and buying food to serve. Since I will be the host in his absence, it's going to be a helluv a long day! Can't wait.

Monochromatic Flower - FS43

I LOVE Sunday's Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast. I just wish I had time to indulge myself in the challenges every day! Unfortunately, Sunday seems to be the only day I have time to play. If you haven't participated before, I strongly urge you to try it. You can find daily challenges on SCS HERE .

Today's featured stamper is RoseAnn, aka CuttersCallous on SCS. She has left so many sweet and thoughtful comments on my posts, and I was really happy to see that she was the featured stamper today. You can view her fabulous SCS gallery HERE .

The card I chose to case was something a bit different for me, which is what stretches our abilities and imagination. And as Martha would say, "That's a good thing!" I think it helps us grow and learn. You can see her card HERE . I used the same basic layout and color scheme, but changed all the stamps.

The main image is a Paper Inspirations stamp called Watercolor Flower Stem . I stamped it using Versafine Onyx Black ink on white cardstock. Then I overstamped the image with a splatter stamp using Versafine Smokey Gray ink. Please note that I inked the stamp, stamped off on scratch paper, then used the second generation stamping for the spatter dots. I wanted them to be light, and not overpowering.

The background stamp is Baroque Grain from Stamper's Anonymous. I love this stamp, and forget to use it! I stamped on gray cardstock using Versafine Smokey Gray ink.

I think the rest is pretty self explanatory. But if I left out something pertinent, please don't hesitate to email me.

Sandy Claws...

While I was trying to reclaim my Mojo tonight I decided to stamp with a set that I really love. Automatically, this Sandy Claws set from Gina K came to mind. This set is so easy to work with!

I stamped the main image on watercolor paper, then colored it with Tombow markers. I used White Liquid Applique for the "fluff" then puffed it a bit with my heat tool. I put Crystal Stickles Glitter Glue on top of the Liquid Applique to add a touch of sparkle.

The sentiment was stamped and embossed on watercolor paper also. The reason is that I wanted the paper to match the paper used for my Sandy Claws image. (Sometimes watercolor paper isn't quite as white as cardstock.) I used a Concave Corner punch on each of the four corners, then added red brads for dimension.

The designer paper is from Daisy D's, and the ribbon is from May Arts.

So.....at least some of my Mojo is back! Whew! What a relief that is! :-)
