Snowman Greetings

What a great weekend! I was been busy, for sure. We had Grandparents Day at the grand's school on Friday, then I spent the day Christmas shopping yesterday. With 5 grandchildren there is a lot of shopping to be done. LOL!

I took a little time this afternoon to make this card using Stampendous Snowman Greetings cling stamp set. I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder, then colored with Tombow Markers . The edges of the main panel were sponged with Tea Dye Distress Ink .

I cut one each of the three snowflakes in the Let It Snowflake Die-namics set, added a light coat of Mono Multi Liquid Glue , then sprinkled on Krystallos Glass Glitter Shards .

The designer paper is all from the Alphabet Soup Boy paper collection by My Mind's Eye. The red border was cut with my Tim Holtz Scallops On The Edge Sizzix die.

The sentiment on the inside is included in the cling stamp set. I framed it using Spellbinders Labels Seventeen , then added Red Rhinestones to embellish.

I'm off to do my cooking for the office Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. I hope you've all enjoyed your weekend as much as I have. I will be back soon with something new. Until then...

JustRite 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop 11

Welcome to the 11th week of JustRite Stampers’ Wednesday feature, 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hops! Every Wednesday up until Thanksgiving some of your favorite designers will be joining some of the JustRite design team for a series of Christmas blog hops, showcasing JustRite’s entire Christmas Collection of stamps! Don’t forget that JustRite has some Christmas stamps in their newly released CLING line of stamp sets, too -- you can find them HERE. This week, the designers joining the JustRite design team are the Stampers Dream design team and a few other special guests!

For the month of November, we thought we would switch gears a little and throw in some holiday gift ideas using your JustRite stamps, so be watching for those, too, on November’s hops! And in celebration of JustRite’s Christmas Blog Hops, they have a huge surprise for you -- take 25% off All JustRite Original Christmas Stamps now through November 29 -- Don't forget to tell Santa!

For my project I decided to alter a notepad. Well actually, it was a 5" x 8" notepad that I had cut in half vertically at Kwik Kopy. So it's half a note pad! For instructions on covering the note pad you may see this Altered Notepad Tutorial that I did a while back. These are easy and inexpensive to make, and they make fabulous gifts for teachers or coworkers.

The stamp set I used is the new JustRite Sparky the Snowman cling mount set. I stamped on watercolor paper, colored with Tombow Markers and sponged the edges of the oval with Tea Dye Distress Ink . To embellish I used Mini Rhinestones for his buttons and his nose. I embellished the snow on the trees and his hat by using White Opal Liquid Pearls sprinkled with Crystal Ultrafine Glitter .

The layer behind the snowman was cut and embossed with a Scalloped Oval Nestability and Classic Red Prismatics . The top panel and the panel behind the oval are Labels Seventeen Nestabilities . I used Scor-Tape to adhere all the pieces for extra hold.

Please visit these designers’ blogs to see what fabulous JustRite Christmas inspiration they have for you on the hop today!

Just Hangin' Out

Happy Monday! It was certainly a fall day here today. The weather was cold, and I turned on the heat in the house for the first time. Perfect weather for a fall card!

All images used on this card are from the new JustRite Stampers Hangin' Around cling mount stamp set! I stamped the main image on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder, then colored with Tombow Markers . The two pumpkins were popped up with foam tape, and the edges of the oval were sponged with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink .

The panels behind the main image were cut and embossed using Spellbinders Labels Thirteen . The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Pyrus paper pad. The cardstock is Prism Papers Papaya Puree and Herbal Green . The Buttons are from various vendors. They were threaded with May Arts Natural Burlap String .

Thank you for taking a moment out of your day to stop by my blog today. I sincerely appreciate your visit and your comments. I will be back soon with something new!

Snow Family Snowglobe

I hope you are all having a great weekend! Mine has been awesome, and I'm hoping for another few hours of enjoyment before it ends! (Stamping related enjoyment, that is!)
The images used for this card are the Penny Black Sending Love Snowglobe cling mount stamp set, and the JustRite Stampers Sparky and Friends cling mount set. Both stamp sets have SO many possibilities!

I stamped the snowglobe on watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink, and embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. I then cut out the main panel using Spellbinders Labels Eight Nestabilities, and lightly sponged the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink .

I masked the outer edges of the snow globe, then stamped JustRite's Sparky and Friends inside the globe. I colored both the snowmen and the base of the snow globe with Tombow Markers . Using a Quickie Glue Pen for adhesive, I added Crystal Ultrafine Glitter to the sky and Polar White Flowersoft .

The Merry Christmas sentiment is in the Sparky and Friends cling stamp set. The designer paper is from the Crate Paper Snow Day Collection .

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. I have more crafty projects for you this week, so I will be back soon! Until then...
