First things first! I am sure that by now many of you have heard the sad news about Laurie Schmidlin. Yesterday her daughter had an MRI, and they found a brain tumor. Devastating news, indeed! Laurie and Urs left VERY early this morning taking her to Seattle where she will have a biopsy to determine if the tumor is cancerous. She has some swelling in her brain, and they are concerned about that. As soon as we get more news from Laurie I will be sure to let you all know.
PLEASE, keep them in your prayers. I sent cards to both Laurie and Ali today. And I am encouraging each of you to send cards to them as well. It's the least thing we can do. She needs to know how much we love her, and how much we care. If you would like to send cards, please email me for Laurie's address.
Remember this card from a couple of weeks ago? It's one of my favorite Christmas cards!I used the same stamps to make a card which I was going to post later the same week, but the stamps sold out so I never posted it. Well, the stamps are NOW back in stock!
This card was really pretty quick and easy. I stamped Northwoods Plaid Bow and Ribbon on pink cardstock using Sepia Versafine ink. I sponged a little pink ink on the bows for a bit of contrasting color. Then I cut out the bows and popped them up with foam tape for dimension.
The stamps I used for the Happy Birthday card are from the Hero Arts Cupcakes clear design set. I used my rectangle Nestabilities scallop die to cut and emboss the pink card.
I even decorated the inside with one of the small flowers from the Hero Arts Cupcake set. I have Densie to thank for that. She always does something on the inside of her cards, and I just love the way it looks!
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

The rest of them are on backorder with no notation of when to expect them. So, I'll take what I got for the time being. :-)
I have cards ready to post....I just need the time to post them. So I will be back soon.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Holy Bible
I have loved this stamp since the first time I saw it. But I didn't have one in my own personal collection until now. HAD to have it. You know how that is, don't you? I just think there are so many occasions to use it. An ADDED plus is that it's really fast and easy to color!
The stamp is called Bible Still Life and it's by Inkadinkado.
I stamped it on Neenah Solar White cardstock using Onyx Black Versafine ink. Just to be on the safe side, I heat set the ink before coloring.
To color the image I used my Prisma Colored pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits. It's only the second time I have used that technique, and I really love it! These pen and ink drawings really beg to be colored with pencils, I think.
After coloring the image I added a bit of Gold Stickles to the gold leafing on the bible. I also added a touch of Stardust Stickles to the flowers.
The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Eva paper pad. The cardstock is Crabapple Prismatics .
When I made this card my intent was to send it to the Chemo Angels . It's a wonderful organization, and you can find out more about how to donate HERE . After looking at the card a little more carefully and reading more about their purpose, I decided maybe it wasn't appropriate, so I will send something else instead.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!
As much as we will miss her, it's time to say goodbye to Amy Westerman as a regular member of The Dream Team. Amy has decided to step back and change her focus a bit more to family, rather than stamping. And who could blame her for that?
But never fear....Amy is still going to be around, and will forever be a Friend of Stamper's Dream.
We love you Amy, and do so appreciate the time and talent you shared with us.
So...without further adieu I am so very pleased to introduce the newest member of *The Dream Team*! Her name is Kimberly Crawford, and she is just the loveliest person! We have all enjoyed getting to know her, and I have to tell you she is such a delight. And man, does that girl have some talent!!!
You can find her at For The Love of Paper , and her SCS gallery is HERE .
I just happen to have a little sneak peek for you...but you must go to For The Love of Paper to see the real deal!
Please join me in welcoming Kimberly Crawford to the already most awesome evah *Dream Team*! We are thrilled to have you, and look forward to a lotta fun to come!

Copics for sale?
As painful as it is, I may have to admit defeat! This is my first card colored with Copics markers. Sad, isn't it?
I read the I Like Markers blog every day. Without fail. And it just goes without saying that I read Debbie Olson every day and drool over her awesome coloring and talent. I mean, doesn't everyone?
Sadly, I guess I haven't soaked up any of their knowledge when it comes to using the Copic markers. And here is the evidence to prove it! I tried to blame it on not having the right colors. But hey, I'm a big girl. I must admit my own mistakes and take responsiblity for them. At least that's what my mama told me. Gosh, she was right about a LOT of stuff! :-)
The stamp is Inkadinkado's Eat Ham . I just love that cute little guy! I chose it because it doesn't need a lot of shading. And hey, I'm new at this!
I stamped on Neenah Solar White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Then I attempted to work magic with my Copics. Didn't happen.
The background layer is Papaya Puree Prismatics dark embossed with my Autumn Type Cuttlebug folder.
The red cardstock is Blush Red Prismatics dark, and the blue cardstock is Island Mist Prismatics .
I even finished the inside of the card with pretty cardstock and patterned paper from my stash. The sentiment is Thanksgiving Greeting .
So...maybe I won't sell my Copics just yet. It might take more than one card to get the hang of it, ya think? I guess I will keep trying as time permits. Because it takes me a heckuv a lot longer to do that than with my Tombows!
Be sure to check back in tomorrow morning. I have a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT coming!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Chickadee Holiday
Sorry I'm so late posting tonight. It's been a bit crazy, but I was determined to post before I call it a night.
This gorgeous stamp is from Northwoods Rubber Stamps. In fact, I just received a shipment from them tonight. It's called Chickadee Holiday . Isn't it a beautiful stamp? I absolutely LOVE it, and it was sooooo much fun to color!
I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Clear Detail embossing powder.
The stamped image was colored with Tombow (water based) markers and blended with a damp paint brush.
The sentiment is Merry Christmas from Impression Obsession. It is the perfect size for my Spellbinders Double Ended Tags die cut. I adhered Pearls from Kaiser Craft to each end of the tag.
The red cardstock is Blush Red Dark Prismatics, and that rich green is Sage Prismatics Dark .
I know this is short, sweet, and to the point. But hey...it's late and time for my evening nap! LOL!
Thanks so much for stopping by. I will be back soon.

Laughing Cow Owl
Yes, I know that's a strange title, but this little candy container was made from an empty Laughing Cow cheese box!
Yesterday as I was having my low cal, low fat snack of Laughing Cow cheese on melba toast (yum!) it occurred to me that the empty box would be perfect for altering. The wheels started turning, and this is where I ended up. If you haven't tried Laughing Cow cheese, you just must! Garlic and Herb is my favorite, but they have other flavors as well.
First, I peeled off the label on the lid. Mine came off without a problem. But since you're covering that area anyway it really doesn't matter. Then I painted the box with acrylic paint. Lucklily I had just the right shade of green. I really only bought those MM paint bottles because they look cute on my shelves. :-)
While the paint was drying I stamped Penny Black's Greetings From The Wise on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink. I embossed using JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. Sorry, but it's temporarily out of stock.
I stamped the owl again and cut out only the eyes and hat, then popped them up with foam tape to give it a little dimension. All circles and scallops were cut and embossed using my circle Nestabilities.
The sentiment on the box is from Stampendous From The Kitchen clear stamp set. I stamped with VersaMark ink, then embossed with Seafoam White embossing powder. I used my Spellbinders Double Ended Tags to cut and emboss it. I adhered it to the box with foam tape, then added rhinestones to each end to cover the holes.
The designer paper is Christmas Brights from Memory Box. The ribbon is Red Checker by May Arts .
I filled the box with Bailey's Irish Cream Chocolates. They are non alcoholic so you could give them to anyone. And they are soooooooooo good! Do you see a pattern here? Low cal, low fat Laughing Cow and Bailey's Chocolates? NO WONDER my diet isn't working! LOL!
I think this will make a cute gift for a friend, or even a special teacher's gift for one of the grands. I'm still eating Laughing Cow....so I can make more!
Thanks so much for stopping by. I have lots to show you this week, so I will be back soon.
Until then...

Monogrammed Bride's Gift
I made this set of card about a month ago and never posted it! Darn, I AM getting forgetful! I think it's because I gave the cards to someone and there was nothing to jog my memory. You know...outta sight, outta mind? At least, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it! LOL!
I went to a wedding about a month ago, and even commented about it on my blog, and the fact that I bought a card to go with the wedding gift. I know...I'm a terrible person!
Well, the problem is that the mother of the groom is my housekeeper. She comes every other Friday and sees all the *stuff* that I have. So a week or so after the wedding she commented on the fact that I didn't make a card. (Hanging my head in shame here.)
Since I was feeling soooooo badly that she felt slighted, I made a set of 6 monogrammed cards for them in their wedding colors. Really, it's the least I could do to get back in her good graces, ya think?
I used the JustRite Damask Kit , and changed out several of the borders and colors so that each one was just a bit different. I used a few Rhinestones and Pearls to dress up some of the cards.
The center strip was embossed using a Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder. The white background was embossed with a Textile Cuttlebug folder. I guess you can tell those are two of my favorites!
I also stamped the flap of each envelope, but forgot to take a picture before I gave them away. Drats....I hate it when I do that! I even tied a pretty bow around the clear box after I had them all assembled.
So....now I'm guilt free. And I DO love the way THAT feels! They have handmade cards in addition to the one I bought! LOL!
I have serious plans to do some stamping this weekend. Let's just hope my mojo is cooperating. So I will be back soon with some new things....I hope?
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Holiday Marguerita
I found this card and realized that I made it a couple of weeks ago, then forgot to post it! It's beyond me how I manage to do that!
The image is Impression Obsession's Holiday Margarita stamp. I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with detail clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow (water based) markers.
To embellish the image I used Icicle Stickles around the rim of the glass. I also used Lime and Christmas Red on the berries and tree.
The green background panel was embossed using my Snow Dots Cuttlebug folder. The designer paper is a scrap from Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding, and the ribbon is Olive Satin by May Arts.
Each of the three corners has a dew drop from The Robin's Nest Poinsettia collection.
I haven't stamped a sentiment on the inside yet. I will wait to see who I'm sending it to so I can match the sentiment with the person.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you all have a fabulous Friday!

Precious and Few...Stamped Simply
I had so much fun playing along with Sharon's stamp simply challenge last week. So I decided to make one more card using the same challenge rules.
For this card I used my Harmony Circle III Stamp Ensemble from JustRite Stampers. This set comes with 6 design borders and 6 design centers. The 3 1/4" wood stamper is included, so I had everything I needed right in the box!
I colored on the rubber using a Tombow (water based) marker, huffed on it, then stamped on designer paper. I decided not to use a JustRite border around the sentiment since there were other elements that I didn't want to distract from. The stamped image was cut and embossed with my circle Nestabilities.
I used my new Martha Stewart punch for the strips behind the sentment. The cardstock is Prismatics Crabapple in light and dark.
The pearls are from Kaiser Craft and the designer paper is from the DCWV Luxury Stack. This paper is pearlescent, and very elegant.
So easy...and so pretty! I just love it when that happens! :-)
Thanks for stopping by! I'm working on something new, so I will be back soon. I hope you are too.

Holiday Hoot!
I made this card Sunday evening for MFT day...which was yesterday. Yikes! I forgot to post it! See what I get for planning ahead? Then forgetting that I planned ahead? LOL!
These adorable little stamps are from the My Favorite Things Christmas Owls clear stamp set.
I stamped with Onyx Black Versafine on watercolor paper, then embossed using JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow markers.
I added Stickles in Frosted Lace , Lime , Yellow , and Candy Cane .
The designer paper is from the Memory Box Christmas Brights paper collection. Since the paper is reversible, I used the reverse side of the green dotted paper for the red dotted panel in the center. The ribbon is from my stash.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I have another card ready to post, so I will be back soon.

New Feature...and Winter Magic
I am soooooo loving the new look of my blog! And I can't thank Sara enough for all her hard work! She is super talented, and a great friend to boot!
The Dream Team page will be updated again soon for Laurie's bio as well as Carolyn . So watch for those changes! Don't I have the most wonderful and talented group of designers? I am so proud of each and every one of them!
A new feature that I'm super excited about is THIS!
If you would like to have this button for your blog, all you have to do is email me and I will send you the code. Then I will link to you on my blog under the "Friends" heading on my sidebar as a Friend of Stamper's Dream! I have to be able to keep track of all my friends! :-)
Another new feature is the Stamper's Dream Gallery link at the top of the page. If you click on that it will take you to the gallery in Stamper's Dream so you can see all the Dream Team's fabulous work.
So...on to my card.
You all know by now that I am a huge fan of Northwoods Rubber Stamps . They are VERY deeply etched, and a joy to color! This is a new one called Deer Pair in Winter Woods . Not only is it a great winter stamp, but it could also be easily adapted as a Christmas card.
Since I work with a lot of men, and they are all deer hunters, I thought this would be a great stamp to add to my personal collection for those hard-to-make masculine cards.
I stamped the image on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored with Tombow (water based) markers.
I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the lines of snow, and a touch of Yellow Stickles to the moon.
The sentiment, also from Northwoods, is Script Winter Magic . I stamped it on Twilight Prismatics light. Then I used my petite oval Nestabilities to cut and emboss.
The other cardstock used on this card is also from the Twilight Prismatics paper pack.
The wide ribbon is some I bought on clearance last year at Michael's in the Christmas ribbon section. It was a steal!
So, that's it for me friends! I'm off to start freaking out over laundry and all the other chores I've been ignoring this weekend. Tomorrow is Monday, and we all know what THAT means!
Thanks so very much for stopping by. I will be back soon with something new.

See my new look?
My super talented friend Sara of Tweaks & Designs has made some great new tweaks to my blog! Be sure to check them out so you're familiar with where everything is now. A lot of things aren't where they used to be. Okay...at my age there is a lot I could say about that, but I'll leave it there! LOL!
I'll explain more about some of the new features in my post tomorrow.
Thanks Sara.....I absolutely love it!

My Dream Team
Amy Sheffer I live with my husband and three children in Virginia on the far outskirts of Washington, DC. I've been dabbling in anything and everything artsy and crafty pretty much all my life, so when a friend introduced me to scrapbooking in 1997 and then rubber stamping in 2002, I was instantly hooked both times. I spent a few years stamping for classes, workshops, and sales as a Stampin' Up demonstrator, but it wasn't until I started my blog in the Fall of 2007 that I discovered the joy of stamping just for the pure fun of it. Stamping has been a big part of my daily life ever since. At the same time, I discovered that the online stamping community is much more fun to participate in than to merely stalk |
Arlene Cuevas I am a Bay Area native living in the beautiful sunny state of California with my husband of 11 years and our 3 sons. My love of crafting and art began at a very young age. As a little girl, I remember taking my Mom’s medical notepads, cutting them up and binding them together to create a “journal” I could draw and paste pictures in. My love of scrapbooking peaked after attending my first Stampin’ Up party in 1995. I started with card making and lay-outs. But in 2005, after becoming more involved with Blogger and later YouTube, my love of crafting expanded to mini-albums, altered art, art journaling and so much more! I’ve been honored to guest design for a handful of online scrapbooking companies and am proud to be currently designing for two others. When Michelle asked me to join her Dream Team, I was so ecstatic and honored at the opportunity to work with such a wonderful, talented group of ladies! In my “spare” time when I’m not working or crafting, I love travelling with my “boys” (yup, that includes hubby!) and hanging out with my family and friends. I’m also an official chocolate and coffee connoisseur – can’t live without my 2 evils, LOL!butterflykisseswithlove.blogspot.com/ |
Christina Fischer I am married to a very supportive husband, and I am a busy mother of four children. I am a teacher by profession, but I've been a SAHM for the last 18 years. I began stamping about 10 years ago, and I haven't looked back since! In my "spare time" I also enjoy gardening, tennis, walking and reading. I am so blessed because this "hobby" has given me many wonderful opportunities and fantastic friends, and it has taken my life in directions I never imagined! I am thrilled and honored that Michelle has asked me to work with her and her amazing Dream Team! flowersandink.blogspot.com |
Jessica Diedrich Hi, I'm Jessica and I am thrilled to be a part of Stamper's Dream! I live a blessed life as a wife of an amazing (and hilarious) husband, four incredible children, and three rambunctious dogs :) When I'm not driving Mom's taxi between dance, girl scouts, basketball, and karate, you can bet I'm somewhere with paper, stamps, scissors, and a sewing machine! I have been stamping for a little over seven years now and loving every minute. My hobbies outside of paper and ink include writing, music, cooking, and anything with sand and surf! I'm so excited to be working amongst such talented ladies on the "Dream Team", Michelle, and all of you! I look forward to lots of fun and inspiration! http://thewhimsicalbutterfly.blogspot.com/ |
Joanne Thompson I live in sunny Southern California with my husband of 2 years. I was first introduced to scrapbooking by my sister in 2005. From there my passion for crafting took off. I dabbled in jewelry, then I ventured into card making and the love of stamping. I took a giant leap into the blog world in 2008. The blogging community helped to expand my craft into other mediums. There was so much inspiration out there, I just loved soaking it all in and trying new techniques and products. I later began my adventure on YouTube in 2009 that has brought so much knowledge and lasting friendships. I've been blessed to have had worked with fabulous companies in the crafting community and continue to do so. I'm excited to go forward with my creative adventure on the Stamper's Dream Team. Thank you Michelle for this fabulous opportunity! paperdrama.blogspot.com |
Lea Lawson My name is Lea Lawson, and I reside in beautiful Missoula, Montana. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Josh, for 8 years, and we have two of the cutest dogs in the world- a yorkie named Bailey and a cocker spaniel named Sadie. I am a professional photographer, who focuses on weddings and senior portraiture, but also throw my hat in on some families and babies at times. I have been crafting in some shape or form for as long as I can remember! While I used to scrapbook more than I made cards, the tables have completely turned and I actually barely scrapbook any longer. I almost 100% exclusively make cards now, and I love it! The card making community is wonderful, and I have met some amazing women through it. You can see my work on my personal blog, or in publications like Paper Crafts Magazine/Special Issues, and Cards Magazine. leascupcakesandsunshine.blogspot.com |
Leslie Miller I'm a stamping fanatic living happily on the southern Oregon coast with my husband, Rich, and our (precious) Golden Retriever, Wally. Our son, Isaac, is all grown up and I'd love to say that I'm now a lady of leisure, but I just keep getting up and going to work every day. Old habits are hard to break. I find time for the things I love most, though, and that would be family (including Wally), friends, gardening, reading, movies, and exploring the great outdoors. And then there's stamping... Well, who would have thought this little hobby of mine would grow into such a passion? I started stamping long about the turn of the century (this century!), but got truly swept off my feet when I discovered Splitcoast and all the folks who understand how this can possibly mean so much to me. I'm now a Splitcoast Dirty Dozen Design Team alumn, and have had the honor of serving on several other design teams, as well. Today, I'm thrilled to be saying I've joined Michelle's amazing team -- truly a Dream Team! Thank you so much for having me, Michelle!lesliekmiller.typepad.com/running-with-scissors |
Teresa Kline I live in the beautiful state of Virginia with my husband Gary, we have a four legged friend; a Boxer named Jesse. I have been crafty for as long as I can remember. I was an Art student in school and had a fascination with paper back then, I even had a small card collection. I started out scrapbooking about eight years ago and quickly turned to card making. I was introduced to Stampin Up by a friend and was given lots of ideas. But, when I found SCS it went to a new level, I was hooked on the daily challenges. I am driven by a good challenge, you can find me on SCS or Challenge Blogs through out the week. I could spend my days creating and look for every opportunity to create something each day. I have been so blessed to be apart of several design teams; being asked to be apart of the Dream Team is another huge blessing and it brings me great joy! When I am not creating I enjoy riding the motorcycle with my husband, weekend getaways, and hanging out with friends chatting, and savoring a good cup of coffee.enjoythevasunshine.blogspot.com |
Tosha Leyendekker I’m a SAHM to two children: a son who’s a Freshman in College, and a daughter who’s a High School Sophomore. My husband and I own and operate a dairy in the Central Valley of California and have been married for 19 years. As far as stamping goes, I’ve been stamping for about 13 years and am hopelessly addicted. I owe my addiction to Splitcoast, which I’ve been a member of for a couple of years now. They have a plethora of fabulous stampers, ideas, and challenges, which have helped pushed me out of my comfort zone. That, in turn, has helped me improve. I even have the privilege of being a Dirty Dozen alumn. I’ve been on a couple of other DT’s, but am currently designing exclusively for Michelle here at Stamper’s Dream. She’s fantastic to work for, has a phenomenal store and her team is fabulous! I don’t scrapbook, but besides stamping, I love to read and take pictures of God’s wonderful creation!stamptalkwithtosh.blogspot.com |
My Dream Guests
Mariana Grigsby I live in Northern Illinois with my husband and our two sons. I am originally from Mexico where I was raised and went to College. My mom was the one who introduced me to the craft world many years ago, but it wasn't until 2006 that I became addicted to it. I started blogging a year ago, just because I wanted to participate in challenges, and since then I have had a lot of fun. I think I am very lucky to have a supportive husband who knows that I love crafting, and encourages me to do so. Currently, I am proudly part of several design teams, but now I am also thrilled and honored to be a Guest Designer of the Dream Team. I have one more wonderful reason, to keep myself creating... And I love that!Mariana Grigsby's Blog |

True Friends Urban Prairie Style!
I made this card for Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Challenge. According to the rules, you can't use any picture stamps. The only stamps allowed are sentiments or background stamps.
Since I called in this morning taking the day off for a *mental health day*, I was fortunate enough to have the time to play along!
A friend of mine is going through some tough times right now. And sadly, I don't get to spend as much time with her as I used to, so I thought this sentiment would be perfect. The card is going in today's mail!
The sentiment is Penny Black's True Friends . I love that sentiment, and could actually use it for all my friends that I don't see often.
I stamped it on Urban Prairie paper using turquoise pigment ink, then embossed using JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. I used my petite oval Nestabilities to cut and emboss.
The designer paper is also from the Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper pad.
I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch and cut the butterfly twice. Once in the turquoise color as a base, and the second time from Sunflower Prismatics medium. The bling on the butterfly is from Kaiser Craft .
Honestly, I have to admit that I wanted to add ribbon or something else. But ultimately I decided that the paper was pretty enough to stand on its own, so I quit while I was ahead!
Thanks for the challenge, Sharon. It was so much fun to be able to play along!
And thanks to each of you for stopping by!

Three Tree Christmas
I really like this new Hero Arts clear stamp set. My intention was to do it in soft shades of blue, but obviously I got distracted and went in a different direction! I AM easily distracted these days! LOL!
The name of the clear set is Three Tree Christmas . I stamped it on Neenah Solar White cardstock using VersaMark ink, then embossed with JudiKins Malachite embossing powder. I don't know how much you can tell about the color of the embossing powder unless you click on the image to enlarge it. But it's gorgeous stuff! It's several shades of green with a copper fleck in it.
For the sentiment, also included in the set, I stamped with Versamark ink on acetate and embossed with copper embossing powder. Actually, the sentiment shows up well in real life, but not as well as I would like in the photograph.
The designer paper is from the Memory Box Frost Collection . I even stitched around the edges with brown thread. The cardstock is Sage Prismatics and Suede Brown Prismatics .
The snowflakes on the front and inside the card were cut with my new Spellbinders Snowflake Wonder . I cut them from Cryogen White cardstock, then added a touch of Stardust Stickles to give them added sparkle. The pearl is from Kaiser Craft .
The sentiment on the inside is also from the Three Tree Christmas set.
Oh yes....tonight is the night to announce the winner of the first ever Stamper's Dream Dreamy Challenge! I numbered all the entries (leaving out the comments that were just really comments), then went to the random thingy to get the number.
Here are your random numbers:
