I did a little stamping last weekend and made this quick and easy card with Impression Obsession's Winter Wonderland Tree . Every day I read and drool over Sharon Johnson's cards, and so admire her simple yet elegant style. (She is one of my idols!) I will admit I didn't quite achieve it here, but my goal was to "Stamp Simply".
I stamped the Winter Wonderland Tree on Twilight Prismatics dark, then embossed using Ranger Seafoam White embossing powder. TIP: Be SURE to swipe your cardstock with Static Guard before stamping. It keeps the little embossing particles where they should be! Trust me....you'll be glad you did!
The little sentiment is from the Penny Black Holly Day Critters clear stamp set. I used my circle Nestabilities to cut it, then a Martha Stewart punch for the white circle behind it.
I added self adhesive Pearls to embellish the tree. The ribbon is May Arts White Sheer Ribbon . The notecard is Twilight Prismatics medium.
So tonight when I got home from the office I decided to use the same stamp and kick it up a notch while still keeping it simple! I stamped the Winter Wonderland Tree on blue shimmer cardstock, then embossed with Seafoam White embossing powder. This time I cut it out using my Spellbinders Petite Ovals.
The background paper is the same blue shimmer paper, and the notecard is Twilight Prismatics dark. Again, I used self adhesive Pearls to embellish the tree, and White Sheer ribbon.
Either of these cards could easily be mass produced if you need a LOT of cards. And I think the result is pretty nice for stamping simply.
Don't forget about the Stamper's Dream Dreamy Challenge. You MUST enter to win the goodies! See my post below for all the details.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be back soon with something new.

Our Very First Dreamy Challenge!
The *Dream Team* put their heads together and decided that we are going to have a monthly Dream Team Challenge for you on the second Thursday of every month. And every one of you is invited (and encouraged) to participate!
This month we are featuring Doodlebug Sugar Coating Glitter and Stick With It Adhesive shapes. All you have to do for this challenge is make a card with glitter on it, preferably using a stamp from a company that we have at Stamper's Dream . You can post it to your blog and leave a comment with a link on this post. If you post to SCS (and we would love it if you do), please use keyword SDDC1.
All who participate and leave a comment with a link on this post, will be entered to win this Halloween Dreamy Treat! I will use the random thingy to select the winner next Thursday night. So you have a whole week to get it together. Personally, it TAKES that long for me! LOL!
The stamp I used on the card front is Penny Black's Coop Party. I put Blue Jean Sugar Coating glitter on the balloon, and used Bumblebee and Tangerine Sugar Coating Glitter on the flowers.
For the inside of my card I used Hero Arts Long Happy Birthday stamp. I punched out a little red heart, then adhered a Stick With It heart to the red heart and coated it with glitter.
The cardstock is all from Prism Papers .
Please be sure to check out the Stamper's Dream Team blogs to see to see the different ways they used these products! They are all so SUPER talented, and I can't wait to see what they have done with the challenge!

Christmas Pelican....and new stamps!
A friend asked if I could make a few "special" Christmas cards for him to send. Since the Pelican is the Louisiana State bird, and since he is a Louisiana State Representative, I thought this image would be perfect! I sure hope he likes it!
The stamp is Impression Obsession's Winter Pelican . It's a fun image, and I enjoyed coloring it. Of course, if you visit my blog very much, you already know I LOVE to color! LOL!
I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored with Tombow (water based) markers.
I stamped just the pelican portion of the stamp on a scrap of watercolor paper, colored it, cut it out, and used foam tape to pop it up for added dimension.
The sentiment is Merry Christmas also from Impression Obsession. I love the font, and I especially love that it perfectly fits in the Spellbinders Double Ended Tags . To complete the card, I added White Liquid Applique and a little Crystal Ultrafine Glitter to the hat, and Frosted Lace Stickles to the lines that I think are snow mounds.
The cardstock is all from Prism Papers . I used both Classic Red and Classic Yellow Green .
I received an order from Northwoods Rubber Stamps tonight. So I made sure I got all of those photographed and in the store as soon as I got home!
I wanted to show you just a couple of my new favorites! This one is called Holly Pinecone and Ribbon . Is that a gorgeous stamp, or what!
The bird image is called Chickadee Holiday . I LOVE that stamp! Why, oh why can't I stay home from work tomorrow to stamp and color these gorgeous images? I think maybe it's because I need to make a living? LOL! Trust me....I WILL work it into my schedule as soon as I can!
Thanks to each of you for stopping by. I appreciate your time and your kind comments!
I will be back soon, and I hope you are too. :-)

Sweet Baby James
Yesterday was election day here in Louisiana, and I have to tell you I lost some sleep over the results of a couple of races. My dear friend, Jeff Thompson, was running for Congress in a vacant seat to replace the retiring incumbent, Jim McCrery. Jeff lost by a narrow margin, and my heart is broken. He's one of the finest men I know, and I have the utmost respect for him. He has a beautiful family, is a Christian, and has strong morals and values. The rest of the country lost....not just my friend Jeff. :-(
Sorry, I'll get off THAT soapbox now!
This adorable image is called James and it's from The Artful Stamper .
All designer papers on this card are from the Memory Box Frost paper collection. I paper piece James night shirt, so I actually stamped twice, once on the patterned paper, and once on watercolor paper. I used Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.
The image stamped on watercolor paper was colored using Tombow (water based) markers. I cut it out, as well as the night shirt, then adhered them to an oval panel cut with my Spellbinders Petite Ovals Nestabilities. I cut the wing and layered it separately so I could pop it up with foam tape to all a little dimension. I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the wings for a little sparkle.
The cardstock I used is all from the Prismatics Mystic , paper pack. Each of the corners were cut using a Cuttlebug die from the Vintage corners set.
I'm trying to make myself pay a little more attention to the inside of my cards. So I used the negative from the oval I cut out for the front of the card, adhered it to a piece of the Prismatics Mystics light. Now, if I could only figure out what sentiment to stamp in there. I don't know that this really *looks* like a Christmas card. So please give me some idea as to what sentiment I might use. All suggestions are welcomed!
That's it for me tonight! It's time to start spazzing out to get ready for the coming work week. LOL!
I have a LOT of new things to show you this week, so be sure to stop back by. Until then...

All Creatures...
I have come to a serious realization. I have decided that I'm finally getting old. I watched every single night of both the Republican AND the Democratic National Conventions. I am posting early tonight so I don't miss the Vice-Presidential debate. My day is not complete unless I can listen to George Stephanopoulos, Diane Sawyer and Robin Roberts every morning while getting ready for work. And feel that I must watch the weather report. What's up with that? Have I finally lived long enough to become my mother? Okay...maybe I'm not *officially* old yet, because I still don't have a bowl of ice cream before I go to bed. Sorry...I had to get that off my chest. I feel better now.
I almost decided not to post this card. I LOVE the image, but what I had in my head didn't exactly come out on the paper as I imagined. Don't you just hate it when that happens???
The stamp is All Creatures . It's such a sweet image...and I will admit that I didn't do it justice here.
I stamped the image on watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored with Tombow (water based) markers and a damp paint brush was used for blending.
I added a touch of Yellow Stickles to the star for a bit of sparkle. The sentiment is an old Hero Arts stamp that I think has been discontinued.
The cardstock is Prismatics Stormy , Baby Pink and Baby Blue . The ribbon is May Arts Silver Grosgrain .
Short and kind of to the point, I know. But I'm going to make something quick for dinner and get positioned for the debate. I'm crossing my fingers that Sarah does well!
Thanks for stopping by. I will be back tomorrow morning with a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT for you! Until then.........

A RAK...and I've been Tagged!
I had to share these two cards with you, made by my dear friend Carol aka carol_PA925 on SCS. Actually, a RAK is a random act of kindness. Frankly, she meant to send this to me...it wasn't random. LOL!
Carol and I have never met. She lives in Pennsylvania, and we became friends through my blog and my store. No....we became GREAT friends! She's one of the sweetest ladies I know, a very talented stamper, and she is very special to me! Be sure to check out her SCS gallery HERE .
This card is one Carol made and emailed a picture to me because I asked to see what she did with the Northwoods Poinsettia and Pine stamp she got from my store. Isn't it beautiful? I had never seen it done in white, and I think it's just awesome! The next time I use this stamp I must CASE her idea and make the poinsettias white.
Thanks, my dear friend. You are the best...and I love you!
AND...I was tagged by Gabriela . According to the rules, I'm supposed to list 7 interesting things about myself. Now that's pretty hard to do....I don't really think I'm all that interesting!
1. I have two grown sons, 6 grandchildren, and I've been single for 30+ years. If you knew me better you would understand the last part! LOL!
2. In real life, I am the chief deputy tax assessor for the parish in which I live. It's a very serious job, and as you would suspect, the tax assessor is not typically "loved" due to the type of work we do. That is totally out of character for me, since I tend to be a people pleaser.
3. Many of my friends think I'm a workaholic. Frankly, I would disagree with that. I like my play time, but tend to be "driven" when it comes to managing my business. It's my passion, and a commitment that I take very seriously.
4. I make friends easily, and become very attached to many of them. Some of my design team members and customers are my bestest friends. :-)
5. I LOVE red wine and reduced-fat Cheeze-Its.
6. As extroverted as I am, I need a lot of alone time to recharge.
7. My secret desire is to take art lessons. Maybe when I retire? I've never had an art lesson in my life, and I think it would be an awesome experience to learn the right way to do what I do.
Okay....it wasn't all that interesting, but it's hard to think of 7 things, ya know?
Thanks so much for stopping by. I will be back tomorrow night with a new card.
