Don't Open Until...

This adorable stamp set is My Favorite Things Don't Open Until Pure Innocence stamp set. What I particularly LOVE about this set is that they included words so that it can be for birthday (as I have used here) OR for Christmas. Gotta love the versatility!

I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder, then colored with Tombow Markers .

The sentiment was stamped on Prismatics Papaya Puree Medium cardstock, then cut with Labels Sixteen Nestabilities . The layer behind the main image Pink Prismatics cardstock, also cut with Labels Sixteen.

The designer paper is all from the Alphabet Soup Girl paper kit by My Mind's Eye. I added Mini Rhinestones to embellish.

Autumn...

I have to say that autumn is such a beautiful time of year. I love the colors of the leaves and the crispness in the air. It was like that here yesterday morning, so I decided it was time to make something fallish.
The stamps I used on this card are from JustRite Stampers Give Thanks Nested Frames set. Using my Clear Horizontal Stamper I stamped with Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The image was colored with Tombow Markers using a damp paint brush to blend.

The sentiment was cut with Spellbinders petite oval, then the edges were distressed with Tim Holtz Distress Ink .

The designer paper is from the new Basic Grey Pyrus paper pad. The cardstock is Prismatics Papaya Puree and Birchtone Dark .I used 5/8" Natural Twill for my bow. The button was threaded with Ivory Burlap String , and I added two leaf punches for a bit of added color and dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. I have a couple more projects for you this week, so I will be back soon with something new.

Weekend with the grands...

My BFF and I traveled Saturday morning to watch my grandson play football. It's about an hour and a half one way. After we all got there, the other team forfeited, so there was no game after all. Dang it! This is Dylan in his uniform...ready to play. He is the sweetest child, if I do say so myself! :)

All the grands came here and spent the night last night. While Dad and the three older brothers were riding their mountain bikes, the two younger ones and I made cards. Ashlyn made this one for her mom. She just turned five about two weeks ago, and she's the baby with four older brothers. WHEN do they stop doing that cheesey grin thing??? Geez!

The next picture is her older brother Ryker. He is almost seven...and good at it! You will notice that his arm is in a sling. He fractured it Friday morning at school playing kick ball. And believe me when I tell you he's milking it for all it's worth! LOL! The card he made is for his favorite teacher.

Thanks for indulging me. I will be back soon with something crafty. Until then...

Gifts For You

I'm home on my lunch hour, so I'm going to make this brief. Doesn't your lunch hour seem like of the shortest hours of the day? Why is that, anyway???
This adorable little trio is called Gifts for You and it's from the Penny Johnson Christmas collection by Stampavie . I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The image was colored with Tombow Markers using a damp paint brush to blend. I then cut it out using Spellbinders Labels Eight Nestabilities .

To embellish the fur on Santa's hat and gloves, I applied White Opal Liquid Pearls then sprinkled on some Crystal Ultrafine Glitter . The designer paper is all from the My Mind's Eye I Believe paper kit. The red cardstock is Prismatics Classic Red .

I'm headed out the door...it's back to work for me! Thanks so much for taking time out to stop by today.

Warmest Wishes

Sorry I've been absent lately. A very dear friend of mine was killed in an accident last week, and I've taken a little time to grieve and regroup. He was SUCH a great guy, and a genuine friend. He was truly loved by many, and there is no doubt that our world is a better place because he was in it. He will be sorely missed.

On to my card...

Both the image and the sentiment are from Penny Black's Warmest Wishes cling mount stamp set. I stamped on watercolor paper with Onyx Black Versafine ink, embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder, then colored with Tombow Markers . The edges were distressed then sponged with Tim Holtz Distress Ink .

The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Jovial 6 x 6 paper pad. The cardstock is Classic Red and Herbal Green Dark .

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. I hope you will come back to visit again soon.

Caroling Penuins

This image was SO fun and easy to color! It's the Caroling Penguins cling mount stamp set from Penny Black.

I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed using JudiKins Detail Black embossing powder. I colored with Tombow Markers using a damp paint brush to blend.

The punched snowflake was coated with a thin layer of Mono Multi Liquid Glue then sprinkled with Crystal Ultrafine Glitter . The red button was threaded with Ivory Burlap String .

The stamp set comes with two sentiments. I placed mine on the inside since I didn't have enough room on the outside.

The punch I used is from Martha Stewart. The designer paper is all from the Basic Grey Jovial paper pad, and the cardstock is Classic Red Prismatics .

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. I hope you have a fabulous day!

I absolutely adore this image from Stampavie. It's called Star Gazing and it's from The Laurence Collection . I stamped it on watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush. I added a bit of White Liquid Applique to the snowy tree, then sprinkled it with Crystal Ultrafine Glitter while it was still wet.

The sentiment is from JustRite's Christmas Nested Sentiments & Verses . The snowflakes are covered with Krystallos Vintage Glass Glitter Shards . I used Tombow Mono Multi Glue for my adhesive.

The designer paper is from the Holly Jolly Collection by My Mind's Eye. I distressed the edges with Pine Needles Distress Ink . The cardstock is Sage Prismatics Dark .
