Cupcake For You

I have to say, making this card was a lot of fun! n case you haven't picked up on it just yet, I will tell you that I LOVE to color! And this cute stamp from Penny Black called Cupcake For You was loads of fun to color!

I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow Markers . It was then cut and embossed using Spellbinders Labels Eight Nestabilities . The edges were sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink .

The icing on the cupcake was glitzed using Frosted Lace Stickles . I added JudiKins Diamond Glaze to the red balloon.

The designer paper is from the October Afternoon Fly A Kite paper pad. I added a strip of Maya Road Turquoise Vintage Trim and some buttons from my stash. The buttons were threaded with Burlap String from May Arts.

That's it for me today. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a fabulous Wednesday!

Many Thanks!

Many thanks for all the birthday wishes! I have to say that I think I heard from everyone that is near and dear to me...either by email, card, phone or Facebook. What a special day it was!!!
After celebrating my birthday with a fabulous lunch, manicure and pedicure, I came home to do a little stamping! The image I chose to use for this card is Helz Cuppleditch's Flower Planters from Stampavie .

I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder then colored with Tombow Markers .

The image was cut and embossed with a Spellbinders oval, then framed with a Big Scalloped Oval Nestability.

The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Kiosh paper pad. The cardstock is all from the Amethyst Prismatics paper trio. The flowers are from Prima.

Well, it's Monday again, and back to the ole grind! Ugh!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Baroque Happy Birthday

I am really enjoying the new JustRite Nested Frames. For this card I used the Baroque Nested Centers & Frames . I stamped with Peeled Paint Distress Ink then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. I used foam tape for dimension, and added Mini Pearls to embellish.

The frame behind the sentiment panels is the new Sizzix Frame Back Ornate #6 . I altered it slightly to fit the largest JustRite frame. The designer paper is all from the Prismatics Spring Willow Trio . The designer paper is from Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage.

I hope you are all managing to stay cooler than we are in the deep south. It was 100 degrees here today with a heat index of 110. And today is the first day of summer? Yikes!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by.

Sweet Thing!

And she really IS sweet, isn't she?

The stamp is from the newest Penny Black release, and is called Sweet Thing . I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine , embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder, then colored with Tombow Markers . I added a touch of Stickles Glitter Glue to the wings and center of the flower.

The image was cut and embossed with a Spellbinders square. It was framed using Spellbinders Big Scalloped Squares . The cardstock is all three colors from the Pink Prismatics Trio . The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye. I added two Robin's Nest Dew Drops to the bottom for added texture.

The sketch is from Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch 74 . LOVE this sketch, and I needed the extra nudge this morning to help me get this one going! Thanks Karen!

That's it for me today. I hope you all enjoy Father's Day with someone near and dear to your heart. Until next time...

Masculine Hedgie Birthday

Well, that was my intent anyway. With four grandsons I am always in need of "boy cards". Apparently I lost sight of my goal here. I was doing fine with the masculine part until I added the bow! Darn!

When I saw Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch this week I knew I wanted to play along with her layout. For some reason, that is always the hardest part of a card for me, so I appreciate all the help I can get with the sketch!

And have you noticed that I've been working outside my comfort zone with color choices? I don't know WHAT'S up with THAT! It's so unlike me!

I used the new Penny Black To Cake Moment to stamp on watercolor paper, then colored with Tombow Markers . I stamped just his feet on a scrap, colored them, cut them out and popped them up with foam tape. I added a bit of Stardust Stickles to the cake icing, simply because I wanted a little sparkle.

The edges of the main panel were sponged with Tim Holtz Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge Distress Ink. The frame behind the main image was cut and embossed using Papaya Puree Prismatics cardstock and Big Scalloped Circles Nestabilities.

All designer paper is from the Basic Grey Green At Heart 6 x 6 paper pad. The ribbon for the bow is May Arts 5/8" Ivory Sheer .

Thanks for taking the time out of your day to stop by. I will be back soon with something new.

JustRite New Release!

Today The Dream Team is blogging with the *NEW* JustRite Stampers release!

For my card I chose to use the Victorian Nested Frames with a sentiment from the Cherish The Memories Nested Centers & Verses set. I used both sizes of the new Clear Horizontal Stamper Set to stamp each of the frames and the sentiment. The cardstock used is all three shades from the Blush Red Prismatics paper trio.

The background layer is Blush Red Light embossed using Tim Holtz Regal Flourishes Texture Fades embossing folder. I just love it that it's large enough to emboss the entire card front, and it embossed very deeply.

The frame is Frame Back Ornate #8 from Sizzix. I adjusted it to fit the larger JustRite Frame. The strip across the center was cut using my Tim Holtz Ornate On The Edge Alterations Die. I embellished using clear and red rhinestones from Kaisercraft, as well as Mini Rhinestones from Zva Creative.

Please be sure not to miss what the rest of the design team has in store for you today. Here is the lineup:

Cindy
Tosha
Karen
Cammie
Leslie
Amy
Denise
Laurie
Dawn

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a marvelous Monday!

Pieces of Quiet

As you can see, I just couldn't wait to get one of those NEW Penny Black stamps inky!
This set is called Pieces of Quiet , and it's from the Slapstick collection that was just released. I stamped it on watercolor paper with Onyx Black Versafine ink, embossed with Detail Clear embossing powder, then colored using Tombow Markers .

The sentiment, also included in the stamp set was stamped on Intense Yellow Prismatics cardstock, then cut and embossed using Spellbinders Labels Eight . The red cardstock is Classic Red Prismatics .

The designer paper is from the October Afternoon Fly A Kite paper pad. It's currently out of stock, but more are en route, and scheduled to here Wednesday night. The buttons are from my stash, and are threaded with May Arts Burlap String .

I hope you all have had a great weekend. I know I have...I'm just sad that it's coming to and end and that it's back to the hustle and bustle of work. At least now I know how I can get some "pieces of quiet". :)
