Gerbera Daisies

On Friday I received a new shipment of stamps from Northwoods Rubber Stamps . Be sure to see them in the store! There is some pure gorgeousness there!
Of course, I couldn't wait to ink one of them, so I chose this beautiful new stamp called Gerbera Daisies in Vase . I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The image was colored using Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush.

The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Sugar Rush paper pad. The cardstock is Intense Yellow and Papaya Puree Dark Prismatics . The ribbon is 1" White Sheer by May Arts.

Please be sure to come back tomorrow morning. I will be making an exciting announcement that you won't want to miss!

I'm outta here early tomorrow morning headed to CHA in Anaheim, CA! I can hardly wait to see so many of my friends that will be there. And of course, I'm going to be buying LOTS of new inventory for the store!

If I have a chance, I will be blogging from there. If not, you will get the pics and stories when I get back home.

While I'm gone, I decided to leave you with some Dreamy Treats from Stamper's Dream !

All you have to do to enter for the random selection is tell me what is the NUMBER ONE THING you have seen from the sneak peeks that you think we must have in the store! Okay...I know that's too hard. (I couldn't do it either!) So you can list as many as you like! LOL!

I will announce the winner next Friday night when I get back.

Good luck...I will be checking your answers from my laptop at CHA!

Holly Berry Hearts and Stripes Medallion

I can't tell you when I've had more fun making a card!
This is Holly Berry's Hearts and Stripes Medallion . I used ColorBox Warm Red Chalk Ink, then stamped and embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.

The image was stamped 3 times on Iced Pink Prismatics , once on Frosted Pink Prismatics , and twice on Vibrant Pink Prismatics cardstock. I cut away the layers as shown, and popped them up using foam tape. Now I must tell you that you don't have to have nearly this many layers. I just don't ever know when to stop!!! LOL!

That gorgeous glitter is Art Institute Glitter's Crystal Ultrafine Transparent glitter. The glitter square outside the pink square was made by placing a strip of 1/4" Scor Tape around the edges of the square panel, then adding the glitter so it sticks to the tape. Simple, huh?

The corners were punched with a Fiskars corner punch. I added Mini Pearls to embellish.
For the inside I stamped the medallion, cut it out, then placed a sentiment from the new JustRite Romantic Sentiments borders and centers set. It's one of the brand new releases from JustRite stampers. I expect my shipment to arrive tomorrow night (Thursday), so be sure to check back!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Today's Featured Stamper is Ardodd . I hadn't been to her gallery before, but I found SO MANY awesome cards there! The one I chose to case is This One . I used the same stamp, and kept the same basic layout, but changed the colors, paper, and put my sentiment on the inside.

The stamp is Penny Black's Cheesecake Party . I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush.

The sentiment on the inside is Wordsworth's How Old? . It was matted to a Frosted Yellow Prismatics panel which was cut with a Spellbinders Labels Nine nestability.

The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Cupcake paper pad. The cardstock is Classic Red Prismatics and Nautical Blue Prismatics .
