Another Henry Mouse

Yes...it's another Henry Mouse! I think these images are just adorable! This one is called Henry Mouse with Christmas Bauble .

I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored with Tombow Markers then blended with a damp paint brush.

I cut and embossed the image using Labels One Nestabilities then distressed the edges a bit. I used Silver Stickles glitter glue to embellish the design of the ornament.

The sentiment is from the Impression Obsession Christmas Tree Mouse clear stamp set. The larger snowflake was cut using Spellbinders Create-A-Flake 2 , and the smaller snowflake is from a McGill punch. The button is from the Autumn Leaves French Twist Mini Bag-O-Buttons and it was threaded using May Arts Red Burlap String . The teal 5/8" sheer ribbon is from May Arts as well.

The designer paper is from Basic Grey's Fruitcake collection a couple of years ago. Does anyone EVER use up an entire collection of paper? LOL! The cardstock is Intense Teal Prismatics .

We got a little reprieve from all the rain today, but it's back in the forecast for tomorrow and Friday. Geez...enough is enough! We're all quacking here! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by today. I appreciate your sweet comments.

Pink Poinsettias

I've been playing with some of my *classic* stamps this week. I consider this one a classic because for me it will never go out of style. From year to year, it's always favorite.

The image is Northwoods Pot with Poinsettia and Pine . I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The image was colored using Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush.

I added Crystal Ultrafine Glitter to some of the poinsettia and the snowflakes on the bow.

The sentiment is Impression Obsession's Merry Christmas . I stamped it on Frosted Pink Prismatics paper, cut and embossed with my Fancy Tags die cut, then cut out the sentiment and adhered it to the Herbal Garden fancy tag. The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper pad.

If you would like to see more samples using this stamp, there are a couple more for you in the Northwoods Gallery in the store.

I think that covers it. Thanks for stopping by today!

Jeans Pants Money Card

You know every year I get out my favorite *go-to* stamp for giving money and try to come up with a new look for it. Well, I will definitely be giving money to some of the grands this year, so this stamp will come in handy.

The stamp is JudiKins Jeans Pants rubber stamp. I usually use Ranger's Denim Adirondack ink, but this time I used Ranger's Faded Jeans Distress Ink and stamped on Neenah Classic Crest Natural White cardstock. I stamped only the upper portion once again on a scrap paper to make a template for my belt, then once again to get the pocket.

After cutting my belt from Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses paper, I cut out the belt loops and put them on the top. I cut out the extra pocket that I stamped and adhered it only on three sides, leaving it open from the top so I could insert money. The embellishment on the pocket was cut with my Martha Stewart Arch Lattice Edge Border Punch . I added some Mini Rhinestones for a little bling.

That's it...a very simple and easy card. It can be embellished SO many different ways. There are some other samples in the JudiKins Card Gallery in the store.

I hope you're having a great Monday! Thanks for stopping by!

Draft Horses

Happy Sunday! Did all of you remember to set your clocks back last night? Well I didn't! Got up at what I thought was 6 am...and it was really 5? Geez!
Edited to add: Since two of my clocks automatically changed and moved the time back an hour, I assumed that I missed out on changing to Daylight Savings Time. You guys are right...it's NEXT weekend! How embarassing! So now I've lost that extra hour I thought I found. LOL!

This card is made with the new Impression Obsession Draft Horses cling mount stamp.

I stamped it on Neenah Crest Solar White cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then colored with Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits. The edges were sponged with Tea Dye Distress Ink . I added a mini rhinestone to the head gear (or whatever you call that).

The sentiment is Impression Obsession's Merry Christmas . It is adhered to a panel cut and embossed with Spellbinders Fancy Tags .

The cardstock is Blush Red Prismatics dark, and Herbal Garden Prismatics dark.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy your Sunday. I will be back tomorrow with something new. Until then...

Have A Holly Jolly Christmas!

This is one of my all time favorite Penny Black stamps! It's called Warm & Cold . The sentiment is from the JustRite Stampers Holiday Demi Phrases .

The image was stamped on watercolor paper then colored with Tombow Markers .

The designer paper is Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses. The cardstock is Crabapple Prismatiacs , and the ribbon is Burgundy Silk by May Arts.

I know this was short and to the point, but it is WAY past my bedtime, and I need a nap! Sweet dreams...and thanks for stopping by!

The sentiment is from the JustRite Christmas Joy stamp set.

The button is from the Autumn Leaves French Twist mini bag-o-buttons. It was threaded with Olive Burlap String from May Arts.

Crazy Day!

What a day! I had every intention of posting a card tonight, but life got in the way of writing the post. Both of my sons called, I had packages coming in, and some to wrap for going out, new Kaiser Craft paper to package for the store. You get the idea!

On top of all that, I worked late...so I didn't even get a good start. My boss announced to our staff today that he is being deployed to Iraq for 12 months, and he is leaving in January. SO...that changes my life significantly for the next 12 months or so! Oh well, we do what we must!

Anyway...I wanted you to see these pics of the grands. They were here this weekend and I snapped just a few. It's hard to get them to stand still for very long. And those of you with kids know that there is ALWAYS one who doesn't want their picture made. You can tell from the pics who it is.
Even if they ARE mine, I have to admit they are pretty cute.

Short story...Ashlyn is my little granddaughter. She just turned 4 years old last week, and she is quite the pill with all those older brothers.

Saturday night we were all in my studio. I had everyone working on their own project so it was unusually quiet as they were working. Ashlyn was sitting on the floor coloring some images I had stamped for her when she burst out in song..."I love God, Beer is good, and people are cra-zy." It was obvious that was the only verse to the song she knew because she sang it over and over again. How embarassing is THAT???

As they left for Sunday school the next morning I warned her dad that he may need a little talk with her before she sang it to her Sunday school class! Jesus Loves Me is always a better choice for a 4 year old, don't you think? LOL!

All the kids in this pic are my grandchildren, except for the older girl. She is Jacob's new "friend". She went to church with him Sunday, then came to my house for lunch. It's the first time he's brought a girl here. Whatever that means, I can assure you I'm not prepared to deal with it yet!

Thanks so much for indulging me. I will be back with a card for you tomorrow.

To Have and to Hug

I hope everyone has had a great weekend! It was a busy one for me...ALL of the grands were here, so there was lots of activity. I took a couple of pictures, so I'll be sure to post them later in the week.

Before the little darlings arrived yesterday I managed to make this card. The main image is Penny Black's To Have and to Hug rubber stamp. I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow Markers and a damp paint brush. It was then cut and embossed using Labels One Nestabilities . I distressed the edges using Tea Dye Distress Ink .

The sentiment is from the JustRite Stampers A Merry Little Christmas borders & centers set. I stamped it on the designer paper, cut out one of the stars and adhered it to the top of the tree.

The snowflake was cut and embossed with Spellbinders Create A Flake 2 , then distressed with Tea Dye Distress Ink . I then put a light coat of Mono Multi Liquid Glue over the snowflake and covered it with Krystallos Glitter Shards . May Arts Olive Burlap String was used to thread the button and tie the bow.

The sentiment on the inside is Penny Black's Merriest Christmas . It was cut out with a Curved Rectangles Nestabilities die.

The decorative paper on the bottom was punched with Martha Stewart's Arch Lattice Edge Punch . The tree was cut from the designer paper.

All designer paper used on this card is from My Mind's Eye Merry Days of Christmas. The cardstock is Blush Red Dark Prismatics and Spring Willow Medium .

I made a matching envelope for the card using a sheet of designer paper from the Merry Days of Christmas and my new Square Envelope Template . You can see that the paper was double sided, so there was no need for lining the envelope. Cool, huh?

Thanks so much for stopping by tonight. I'm going to soak up the rest of my Sunday evening before it slips away!

Ice Skate Stockings

What a day! It's one of those that you think maybe you would like to erase? At least part of it?

I was scheduled to be at business meeting this morning about 90 miles from here. Just as I was approaching the exit off the Interstate I called one of the other people who was going to the meeting, and was informed that the meeting had been cancelled. The notice of cancellation went to my boss...who is out of town. And apparently not reading his email. Or forwarding it to me. SO...that's pretty much how my entire day went! LOL!

I made this card using my new Impression Obsession Ice Skate Stockings cling stamp.

After stamping with Onyx Black Versafine ink, I embossed with Detail Clear embossing powder. The image was colored with Tombow Markers and blended with a damp paint brush. I stamped just the bow on scrap paper, colored and cut it out, then popped it up with foam tape.

The colored image was cut and embossed using my new Labels Eight Nestabilities . I very lightly distressed the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink .

To embellish, I added some of my NEW Mini Pearls using a Quickie Glue Pen for adhesive.

The sentiment on the inside is Impression Obsession's Christmas cling stamp.

The designer paper is Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses . The cardstock is Blush Red Prismatics dark.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope to be back tomorrow. It IS going to be a better day. I just know it! :-)

Noel Joy

I suppose it goes without saying that I simply adore these Sarah Kay images!

This one is called Noel Joy . Isn't she sweet?

I stamped the image on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder, then colored with Tombow Markers . It was then cut and embossed using Spellbinders Labels Four Nestabilities . The edges were distressed just a bit using Tea Dye Distress Ink . I stamped another hat, colored it and popped it up with foam tape to add dimension.

To make the icy snow beneath her feet I used Diamond Glaze for my adhesive, then sprinkled Krystallos Glass Glitter Shards over the top.

The red patterned paper panel behind the main image was cut and embossed using my new Labels Eight Nestabilities . It's the first time I have used that one...and I LOVE it!

The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye. The cardstock is Blush Red Prismatics and Spring Willow Prismatics medium.

For those of you who got a holiday today, I hope you're enjoying the time off. The rest of us are drudging through another Monday! Ha!

Thanks for stopping by!

Webster's Pages Angel

You can see that it didn't take me long to use some of the *NEW* Webster's Pages paper that just arrived. There is only one thing wrong with the paper...is so pretty you won't want to cut into it! Honestly!!!
The paper I used on this card is from their Sweet As Cherry Pie petite papers. I only cut it down 1/8" to put it on a 6" kraft note card.

The main image is Whiff of Joy's Confirmaton Melinda . I stamped on watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored with Tombow Markers and blended with a damp paint brush.

Using my Quickie Glue Pen for adhesive, I added Crystal Ultrafine Glitter to her wings. I distressed the edges with my scissors, then used Tea Dye Distress Ink for aging. Since I was going for a vintage look, I added ivory crochet ribbon and some Prima roses.

The sentiment on the inside is Stampendous You're An Angel . I cut each of the four corners of my Pink Prismatics paper with a Fiskars border punch, then added a tiny pearl from the new Mini Pearls by Zva Creative .

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend. It's been rainy here, which is *perfect* stamping weather if you ask me!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
