New Inkadinkado Stamps are here!

I know...it's hard to believe that it's already time for some of the new Christmas stamps. Gosh, it was 95 degrees here today...and we need to think about Christmas? LOL!

These are a few of the new stamps I received today from Inkadinkado. You can find them in the store HERE .

The bird on the pine branch is called Ornamental .

Isn't this angel just gorgeous? I'm such a sucker for angel stamps. This one is called Silhouette Angel .

The beautiful deer stamp below is called Silhouette Deer . It just may be my new favorite. Of course, we all know our favorite changes daily! :-)

This gorgeous tree stamp is called Tree Full O' Birds .

And I just couldn't resist buying this humorous Cocktails clear stamp set. My friends will get a laugh out of this one!

There are others in the store, but I just wanted to highlight a few for you. The new Inkadinkado clear stamp sets will not ship until the middle of July. And I can't wait for you to see the new Winter Birds set. It's GORGEOUS!

Well, I don't know about you, but I am soooooooo looking forward to a short work week, and a long weekend. How many days until Friday? LOL!

Thanks for stopping by.

I'd Flip For You!

I have NO Mojo today! Does anyone have a little extra they could send my way? :-)

Before I move on to the card, I want to take this opportunity to applaud my fabulous Dream Team. No matter what I need, or when I need it, they happily rise to the challenge. They are the best of the best, and I'm so very proud of each and every one of them. Thanks guys....you mean everything to me! SmileyCentral.com

Honestly, I didn't do this little guy justice. Isn't he cute? It's Stampendous Changito Chef . I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The stamped image was colored using Tombow (water based) markers.

To add a little dimension to the card, I popped up the stamped image using Scotch Mounting Tape . The ribbon is May Arts .

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great week!

Inque Boutique Sale - This Saturday!

We are having a SALE! Tomorrow (Saturday, June 28) Everything Inque will be on sale in the store for 20% off! What a great opportunity to get these fabulous stamps and paper pads at a discount! All you have to do to receive the discount is put in the coupon code AMAZING at checkout! It's that simple!

I made this card with Inque Boutique's Birdi Mini stamp set, and their Memoirs Paper .

The Mini Birdi frame was stamped on pale blue cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I embossed it with JudiKins Black Opal embossing powder. I couldn't capture the sparkle of the embossing powder in my photo...but it's just gorgeous!

I stamped the bird and embossed with Detail Clear embossing powder, then cut it out. Using a Prisma colored pencil I shaded the bird a bit, then popped it up on the card using Scotch Foam Tape to give it some dimension.

The designer paper is from Inque Boutique's Memoirs 6 x 6 paper pad. The ribbon is May Arts silver grosgrain . And the three little brads on the lower right are Pearlized Mini Brads .

Thanks to each of you for your birthday wishes. I had a great day!

Oh....and did you notice my new watermark? My talented friend Sara from Tweaks and Designs made one for each of the design team members. If you need any graphics work done, or a watermark, I highly recomment Sara. She's the best there is!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope your Friday is fabulous!

Still Sittin' Here

Just for fun, I decided to use the same stamps from my last post, and kick it up a notch. The card posted yesterday was one I made a couple of years ago for a class I was teaching at the store. Back then, we didn't have Nestabilities or Marvy punches in all those different sizes. And I guess my style has changed a bit since then too.

The main image is actually three separate stamps from Impression Obsession's Beach Fun clear stamp set. I stamped them on watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.

The stamped images were colored with Tombow (water based) markers. I stamped the hat from the center girl again, cut it out and popped it up with Scotch Mounting Tape to add a little dimension. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession's Anytime Sentiments clear stamp set.

The edges of the main panel were aged with Ranger Distress inks. All the squares were cut with Nestabilities square dies.

I used my Janome Mini Sewing machine to stitch around the edges of the Flair Designs designer paper, then distressed the edges of the paper.

Thanks so much for stopping by tonight. I hope you all have a great week!

Just Sittin' Here...

This is a card I made a while back when I taught a class at the store. To me, it's a classic, and just never goes out of style.

The stamp set used for the three ladies is Impression Obsession's Beach Fun clear stamp set. There are about 14 images in that set, and you could make a LOT of different summer cards with it.

I stamped on white cardstock then colored using Prisma Colored Pencils.

The sentiment is from Impression Obsession's Anytime Sentiments clear stamp set. There are 10 different sentiments included, pretty much something for most any occasion. It's a great set because it's so versatile.

Yes, I know this was short and sweet. There just wasn't a lot to say since I think it's all pretty self explanatory.

I am going to TRY to have a relaxing weekend, do a little stamping, and order some new things for the store.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Thank you very much....

Yes...this card says it all. Thank YOU very much, Leslie Miller . I know I don't have to tell you who she is. Her name is so well known in the stamping community because her work is so awesome!

I received this GORGEOUS card from Leslie with such a kind and sweet note inside. Honestly, it really doesn't get any better than this for me. She is such a warm and classy lady, not just in her stamping, but in every way. I couldn't be more pleased and honored to have a Leslie Miller original! It is going in my "cards to treasure forever" box!

The stamp set she used is Inque Boutique's Birdies . You can read all the details about Leslie's card in THIS POST .

Gosh, am I one lucky girl, or what? Now I feel inspired to make something beautiful to send to someone else....just to make them feel as special as I do today.

My sincere and most heartfelt thanks for this beautiful RAK! I will treasure it always.

Thanks to each of you for stopping by tonight. The good news is....it's almost Friday! And I hope yours is a fantastic one!

Flutter By...

This is the first time I've used Inque Boutique stamps, and I must say I am TOTALLY impressed!

Their stamps are unmounted, and the index is printed on the back of the stamp, so when you adhere it to your clear mounting block, you can see the index for stamping.

Another thing about their stamps that I LOVE is that they are already cut out for you. Since I don't like cutting rubber, that's a BIG plus to me!

Included in each Inque Boutique stamp set is a black cushioned stamp pad. DO NOT throw it away. It is their secret ingredient. And trust me...it IS necessary to stamping a perfect image! In fact, it would be great to use with all your clear and unmounted stamps.

The stamp set I used to create this card is Flutter By Butterfly . I really like that stamp set. It has so many great images.

I stamped on watercolor paper, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. If you haven't tried JudiKins Embossing Powder , you simply must. It is of the finest quality, and that makes such a difference!

The image was colored using Tombow markers. I distressed the edges of the main panel using my Paper Distresser , then sponged the edges with distress ink using an Ink Sweeper .

The sentiment was stamped and embossed, then cut out using Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio . The ribbon is May Arts Scallop Edge Pink Satin .

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Mail!

Is there ANYONE who doesn't love to get happy mail? Well, I am certainly no exception!

I received this card in the mail from Amy at Heartfelt Greetings . Of course, I recognized the card right away....it's one she made as a new designer for Stamper's Dream .

The designer paper she used is from the Memory Box Inspire paper collection. And the stamps are from Rubber Soul's Heart Sing clear stamp set.

You can find all the deets about the card HERE on Amy's blog.

My thanks to you, Amy, for your thoughtfulness AND the sweet, sweet note inside. It totally made my day! And with the horrific hours I've been putting in at work lately, I NEED an extra smile when I can get it. :-)

Thanks to each of you for stopping by. I'm working on a card that I hope to be able to post for you tomorrow.

Have a happy Tuesday!

Best Fishes!

I have always had a weakness for sea themed stamps, so I chose this Impression Obsession Ocean Fish to ink up first. Honestly, I love ALL of the new Impression Obsession stamps so much that it was a tough decision! LOL!

I stamped the Ocean Fish on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed using JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.

The stamped image was colored and shaded using Tombow (water based) markers. I used my oval Nestabilities to cut out the image, as well as the scalloped frame.

The border on the background layer is Ocean Border , also from Impression Obsession. I stamped it using VersaMark Ink , then embossed with Seafoam White embossing powder. It is my very favorite white ep!

The sentiment is Best Fishes . I stamped it on watercolor paper, then cut it out using Spellbinders Tag Trio . I added a little color to it with my Tombow markers.

The ribbon is from Martha Stewart. I found it on sale a while back, and to be honest, I'm really disappointed that it doesn't tie or hold a knot very well. I guess I'm just spoiled to May Arts ribbon, huh?

Early yesterday morning my neighbor and I went to a berry farm. We picked buckets of blackberries and blueberries. Mine are already in freezer bags, ready for me when I get the urge make something delicious. They will have tomatoes, squash, zuccini and eggplant in a couple of weeks, so I will definitely be going back then. It was a lot of fun, even though the clouds rolled in and we got totally drenched!

Why is it that weekends are so darned short? I am totally convinced that there are less than 24 hours in Saturdays and Sundays! KWIM? LOL!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend, and a great Father's Day celebration.

Woo hoo! NEW STAMPS!!!

It seems that I have been waiting for this order from Impression Obsession for forever! And they FINALLY arrived tonight!

The first stamp is called Beach Day . Isn't that just the cutest stamp? And I really think the shape lends itself to a LOT of design possibilities!

Also in stock is the Ocean Border , which works well with all of the beach themed stamps.

Of course, who could resist this FABULOUS Cupcake clear stamp set? And it's only $8 for all these uber cute stamps! This one is for all you cupcake fiends! :-) Is that just the cutest stamp set, or what?

I don't think this set will be around very long, so don't wait to get yours!

I bought this New Home clear stamp set because this theme is pretty hard to find. I could get a lot of use out of this one, for sure!

If you read the sentiments included, you will note that it works for friends who have moved, and even if YOU have moved!

And what fun would this Smell The Coffee stamp set be? I LOVE the funky design, and think it will be great fun to play with. I also liked the sentiments in this set, and think they are pretty appropriate for cards I would send to my friends.

I bought several cupcake sentiments, including this one called You take the {cup}cake . Be sure to check out the others in the Impression Obsession section of the store.

Thanks so much for stopping by tonight. I hope you're having a fabulous Friday, and a great weekend!

Thank You RAK from Charmaine

Ohhhhh.....is this a pretty card, or what?

I was so surprised and pleased to received this beautiful card in the mail from Charmaine. I KNOW that you all know who I'm talking about. Her blog is Oodabug Alley . I also KNOW that you've all been there, because she has one of the coolest blogs on the net! Her designs are FABULOUS, and in addition to that, she's one of the sweetest ladies I know! :-)

Charmaine used a stamp from Favorite Calligrapy for the sentiment. The flower is Watercolor Pressed Flower , also from Paper Inspirations.

You can find all the details about the card on Charmaine's blog post HERE .

Thank YOU, Charmaine! I couldn't be happier to have you on our "Dream Team"! You are such a delight and it's a pleasure to have with us!

RAK from Amy

I received this beautiful card from Amy Sheffer at Pickled Paper Designs . Amy was a guest designer for Stamper's Dream , and she did SUCH a fabulous job with her design work. And as an added bonus, she's a real sweetheart, too. :-)

She sent me this card with the sweetest note inside. Her kind words and sincerity really made my day, and I will treasure it always!

You can get all the deets about Amy's card HERE .

And since Amy still has some stamps from Stamper's Dream, don't be too surprised if you don't see a few more of her designs with our stamps.

Thanks Amy....you are simply the best! I am honored to have had you with us, and to call you my friend. Truly, the pleasure was all mine.

Chicky Night...and the Birthday Boy!

The last time I had this stamp in stock they sold out so quickly that I didn't even get one! So....I grabbed one for my personal collection FIRST this time! LOL! Are these the cutest chicks ever? And they are ready for a big night on the town!

The stamp is Penny Black's Chicky Night .

I stamped it on watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.

The stamped image was colored with Tombow (water based) markers and a blender pen. I added some bling to the belt on one of the chicks, and the loop earring using Hero Arts Gemstones .

I also used a bit of Stickles Glitter Glue on two of the dresses. Women DO need to shine and sparkle sometimes...don't they?

The flowers are from the Art Flowers collections by Hero Arts.

I really try not to put too much family stuff on my blog. I realize that's not why most people stop by. But I did want to share a couple of pictures from Jacob's 4th birthday party today. It was wild and crazy, and he had a blast! In this picture he was driving a car at Party Central, feeling like a big boy.

Did I mention that it was LOUD in there? LOL!

And this was the best picture I could get of him blowing out his birthday candles.

He is usually pretty photogenic and good at letting us take pictures of his cute little self. But today he had way too much going on to be patient with the grandparents who were trying to stage pictures.

Thanks to each of you for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful week!

No time for stamping....BECAUSE

I have been super busy with new shipments coming into the store....really GREAT stuff!

The Grove Paper Collection from Memory box is here, as well as their other new paper collection called Provence .

I also have a new assortment of birds and flourishes from Memory box, such as this bird called Bird Branch . Isn't that a gorgeous stamp? Most of the new stamps are from their Birds of a Feather collection.

AND...the long awaited Fiskars Threading Water Elegant Border Punch is finally here. I only received 6 of them, so don't hesitate to get yours while they last.

I was soooo excited to finally receive the My Favorite Things order today. I ADORE all of their new release stamps. One of my favorites is this one called Here's The Scoop . And be sure not to miss Kim's new cupcake set called What's Up Cupcake? . It is so cute, and really versatile!
I decided to take the plunge and buy some of those gorgeous I Kan'dee Chalks that I see everyone using. I must try my hand with those. I have them in the store in two different color combinations, both Pearlescent Shimmer and Pearlescent Jewel Tones.

I had some requests for the ribbon cards for those super organized people who think their ribbon should be neat, orderly and organized so they can find what they have. These are very cool Ribbon Cards , and are so cool with the Ribbon Clips . If I ever get organized, I'm going to use mine! LOL!

The new Cosmo Cricket Hello Sunshine 8 x 8 paper pads arrived today as well. GORGEOUS paper. And I DO love pretty papers!

There are many more new thingsin the store....and more on the way. But I thought I would enable you with a few you may not be able to live without.

I hope to get a little stamping done this weekend. I desperately NEED some stamping therapy! :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by.

I Sea....

One of my grands is having a birthday this weekend. There is a big party planned at Party Central. It will be noisy, and terribly hectic. And yes...I'm going. LOL!

I had a few moments tonight so I decided I should whip up a quick and easy card to go with his gift. This one just may be my all-time best tanker. But it's what I made, so I decided to post it anyway. I will have to give some serious thought about whether to actually "give" the card. He's 4...he won't care. But it's a matter of personal pride. Know what I mean?

The stamp set I used is one of my Gina K favorites. I've used it time and time again. It's from the Just Keep Swimming set by Gina K Designs.

I stamped the octopus on watercolor paper, colored it with Tombow markers, then cut it out and adhered it to a green panel cut and embossed with a Nestabilities rectangle. The red scalloped panel is also cut with the rectangle Nestabilities.

Just for fun, I added three Robin's Nest Dew Drops to resemble bubbles.

The designer paper is from the Sharon Ann collection by Deja Views. I cuttlebugged it using a Tiny Bubbles embossing folder.

That's it for me tonight. I'm off to package some orders for the store and try to regroup before work tomorrow morning.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sunflower

Isn't this sunflower image just gorgeous? I received it in a new shipment this week and couldn't wait to ink it up.

The stamp is Paper Inspirations Sunflower . Either it is a new image they have just released, or somehow I've been overlooking it.

I stamped the image on cream colored cardstock using VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink. The stamped image was colored using Prisma pencils. Gosh...that's twice in the last week I've used those! That's pretty amazing considering that I haven't used them in a couple of years!

I distressed the edges of the stamped panel using Ranger Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress inks applied with an Ink Sweeper . I love how much control it allows me to have with the ink!

The ribbon is May Arts Celery Satin , and the designer paper is Basic Grey Boxer .

I have A LOT of shipments scheduled to arrive this week, so it will be a busy one. I will keep you posted on what's new.

I hope you've all had a great weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by!
